The announcement topic (post all your year long memberships and low record post counts here)

To save people such as myself getting annoyed, I've decided to make this thread where you can post your personal announcements here. Such as hitting 5000 posts or being a member for a year, you know, things that nobody else cares about. Topics for post counts of 10,000 and 20,000 are fine, but any below that get announced in here or I close your topic. If you continue to ignore this there will be warnings, but I'm not going to be too strict right away, until everyone gets the hang of this. Birthday threads are fine by me, since they don't come around too often. So, uhh, enjoy I guess.

I thought it was clearly stated in the Banned Topics list that this was not allowed, regardless of the number of posts?

OK... The problem here is people want to post this... So we need to have somewhere for them to do this... Better in one thread than all over the board... So if people want to ignore it they can.

However... If people reply in this thread saying that they want to be able to start their own Announcements threads, then we'll have to change the rules to say this... So pending any decision, all annoucements (for posts, years of membership etc...) should be here...

I was just kidding around. One thread is plenty. I'm with N_D, the board is getting full of bragging. It is annoying.

I think free post is better i comeing up on my two year and i would like my own topic.

Merging topics suck though, I like one, and that's the banner/avatar/sig one, because there's around 10 topics a day asking to rate and stuff.

Plus i've been told they aren't even allowed...

Crap on it, Just make a forum called "Users Lame Announcements"... Simple as. I am sure "OMG liek! 1000 post!" would fit well in a forum called that.
