where do you get the ruby and sapphire plates?.

Ruby Plate:
Here's what to do; Deafeat Elite 4, get the National Pokedex, and go to One Island. Talk to Bill's friend(forgot name) and go to where the two rockets are on the right. Battle a rocket and he will give you a password(there's 2) for their Hideout. Then go inside and solve the maze. While your at it, catch a Slugma, your first National Pokemon(YAY!!!). When in a room where there are stones of a Morse Code You will need it for later. GO down one more to get the Ruby Plate(the stone above it says the following):
EVERYTHING HAS MEANING
EXISTINCE HAS MEANING
BEING ALIVE HAS MEANING
HAVE DREAMS USE POWER.
Sapphire Plate:
What to do: Deafeat the Elite 4, Get the National Pokedex, get the Ruby Plate, and Go to Six Island. Enter the island and head east and surf down to land. Then go West and Battle on your way to a door. The door has a code. It says CUT, so cut the door. Enter the door and the hole. Then Follow the directions on the stones. Here is a hint cus I forgot what the directions are, if it has 2 Dotted Codes, go up. If 5, go right. Left: Just find out the first letter of the code to be (L). Down: same with LEFT except find the letter (D). Then go to the Plate and a scientist will trade the plate for the second password. Go to the Hideout and deafeat the Rockets and the scientist and your done. The Morse Code near the cave of the Plate Says the following:
LET THE TWO GLITTERING STONES ONE IN RED ONE IN BLUE CONNECT THE PAST. TWO FRIENDS SHARING POWER OPEN A WINDOW TO A NEW WORLD THAT GLOWS. THE NEXT WORLD WAITS FOR YOU.
After you are done, give it to Bill's friend and you can trade on any version(Emerald,etc.).

ah ha, you have to have 60 pokemon and then bat the elite four to get the n-dex
