Obi wan - possibility of the chosen one?

I wish to know that if Obi Wan was the chosen one. I consider him to be the chosen one because of the fact without him the two possible chosen one's would not have become Jedi, the Jedi would not have been restored as the New Jedi Order nor would the empire have become the New Republic. Maul still would have lived, Sidious probably would have become the emperor with no one to stop him.


The point is without him, the dark side of the force would have won. The prophecy says that the chosen one would have been born to virgin mother. The only thing known about Obi is that he was born to a moderately rich family with a brother named Owen.

Quite touch for me....However, the difference is Anakin (Darth Vader) technically did destroy the Sith, though with assisstance. it was Luke his son who still believed he was stil that Jedi that Obi-Wan trained. Whereas Obi-Wan had lost faith in reviving the Anakin within like after his duel with him.

No, Obi-wan never lost hope, why would he try to train Luke? To confront his father and turn him back to the light side.

That's true, but I suppose in a way Obi-Wan helped Luke to become a Jedi so that there would be a re-birth of the Jedi Council perhaps. Hang on, did Wookiepedia honestly say that?

Obi-Wan and Yoda thought Luke would be unstable like Anakin if he used his anger or feelings. Based on the movies, Luke would not be the ideal person to rebuild the Jedi Order. Think about it: Luke does not demonstrate many characteristics that the jedi of the old republic had.

True, even further puts Obi Wan in the running for Chosen one.

I suppose yeah cause we have little information of them both really.
I mean Anakin was either a possible creation of Darth Plagius or a Force conceived child. We only know of his mother and step brother and dad.
Obi-Wan obviously had a Coruscantian accent, but he was raised there and we do not know his place of birth. We barely know of his other family too.

And I find that Coruscantian accent is actually a Scottish/English mix in type accent. Also, Darth Palageuis used the force to conceive Anikan. But if Anakin was so artificial, why was he predicted? I find that if you artificial you shouldn't have a place in a legendary prediction of the jedi.

That is actually not confirmed of whethe Darth Plagius did create Anakin. It is a gap in history effectively.

Palpatine killed his own master for a reason. It's no coincidence that Palpatine made a move to take Anakin as his apprentice. I reckon he knew all along that Anakin was Palageuis' creation. He knew about his past, no? No father? Anakin is a half human half mutant, if you will. He obviously isn't the chosen one as he is too artificial.

Palpatine only believed it because he thought he was a Force conceived child.

Obviously Anakin is force concieved, but by artificial means. I believe he is not worthy of being the chosen one.

But then again that makes you question about he Clones and other artificial things.

Yes, but even if they are important does it mean a artificial thing can run off and be a hero in some prophecy? Take it like this:

If you've ever played YuGiOh, you would know that there are fake cards. Fake cards wouldn't be the winning card in a tournament because they are forbidden.

The force is strong in Anakin but he's too fake to be real. Besides, 10 minutes of good didn't make up for years of evil. He wasn't fit to be a candidate after the incident on Mustafar.

But who knows? Those 10 minutes might be actually more important than years of "evil".

... Gah. I still say Obi Wan is the chosen one.
