Legacy of Darkness - The Reign of Extermine

Yo, sup, and welcome to ‘Reign of Extermine’. I thought it was time for a new roleplay from me that wasn’t futuristic (w00t!) and actually brought background info on some of the characters I’ve been using. It’s pretty long, but once you get past the intro, well worth it.

Since the beginning of time, three dimensions have existed. The first, Xelcos, was inhabited by the Aluminil, a race of individuals blessed with the ability to create and harness holy light; they believed in peace, unity, and equality. The second, Ragnolia, was inhabited by the souls of the deceased and ruled by Artemis Kramen, the Spirit Prince. The third, Nekran, was composed of pure darkness, a realm in which the cold-hearted Avia Majikra cult, who practiced unholy black magic, thrived. The latter’s hierarchy was based solely upon power, and it was due to this that its government, ‘Avia Extermine’, was comprised of merely three – Avantra Shadowen, Artemis Kramen, and Inkarna Avia. Avantra was the administrator of their servants of darkness, Avia Servoia, and the most powerful of second-grade dark wizards. Artemis ruled over Iridia, a race of greater demons brought to Nekran by Ragnolia on his orders, and the Avia Majikra, trained wizards of darkness. Inkarna was the Son of Darkness and Emperor of the shadows, who represented his own desires – power, supremacy, and communism. For many hours a day, his slaves would train under the orders of their leaders, and as such, Nekran and Ragnolia were under Avia Extermine’s full control. Xelcos, however, was not, and it was this that angered the black government; in order to achieve their concept of perfection, they would have to take full control of the Aluminil and their dimension, which brought them to a stalemate.

Several centuries ago, the Gods above foretold a great battle between the people of the three dimensions, and placed a seal – the Seal of Azuren – upon the void between them, which was named Vera and was inhabited by a non-magical race known as humanity. However, as the wizards of Nekran became stronger, the Seal was weakened by the overflow of darkness, and was eventually destroyed. By Artemis’ consent, Ragnolia has allied itself with Nekran, thereby assimilating its population into the overwhelming darkness.

Now our future is grim. We, the Aluminil, are being forced to watch in sorrow as Iridia and Majikra invade our world, killing our people and spreading a veil of darkness over the land. Some have been tainted by it, becoming angrier toward their own kind and treating us with unrest and opposition; some have even defected to the ways of the shadows. Some of our armies have traveled to Vera in an attempt to block further passage, others will stay and protect Xelcos, and the weak will get killed… We call out to anyone, whether you practice light or dark magic, to help us combat the seemingly endless reign of the Extermine.

Name: Mazika Rathas

Weapon: Lumina, a thick white broadsword forged from solidified holy light. Measures five feet long and four inches wide; the hilt extends for eight inches across and has a crystalline serpent coiled around it. The blade of the sword is widest at the base and most narrow at the tip; diamonds are imbedded at every six-inch interval to increase the weapon's stability. When it is unused for any purpose, Lumina travels with its master by assuming an aura of holy light that surrounds their body, augmenting their control over white magic.
Skills: High skill in swordplay and unarmed combat, intelligence, and thorough focus. Mastery of his own mind, which extends to capability of levitation. A sixth sense that allows him to perceive energy essences, and heightened senses of sight, smell, and hearing are the fruits of meditation.
Magic: Manipulative power and control over the electrical, light, and fire elements. He uses fire to increase his strength, electricity to increase his speed, and light to increase agility and his six senses. The capability of surrounding his body in an aura of either element is also one of Mazika's many nonoffensive techniques.
Appearance: Wears a black cloak that drapes over his tall and muscular body. His hands are encased in gauntlets that protect them from the power of the elemental energy within Lumina. Wears a golden necklace, pendant, and white shoes. Has white skin, brown eyes, and black hair that extends to the nape of his neck.
Personality: Calm, decisive, and serious under most circumstances. Prefers defense in battle, and dislikes anger. If enraged, will either quickly calm down or vent his anger on opponents.
History: Mazika was born in a peaceful village housed at the footholds of a mountain. It was a traditional custom that a sixteen-year-old male have to ascend this mountain to attain manhood and the permission to leave the colony. He met a beautiful woman named Lumina, with whom he left the village after ascent, bringing with him their other customs of meditation and physical training, through which he developed a sixth sense and his mastery over electricity and fire. In a battle with dark wizards that invaded a town, he became paralyzed for life. Several hours later, he encountered a deity of light, Mirian, who granted him mobility in his legs once again and the power of holy magic if he continued to defend humanity against the forces of darkness. He then forged Lumina, which he named after his wife, and after her death, abandoned his post as loyal husband to continue his crusade against Avia Majikra, the wizards of the dark god.

Weapon:Sleeping Lion. A 6`2 in length and 2`3 in width sword that is engraved with runes of purity,and light. Takes a enlightend and powerful spirit to wield,making it light as a feather to Auron and impossible to hold by others. Menaing he can swing this humongous blade with the speed of a small knife,and the power of an enraged ox. At the gigantic hilt of the blade,is a Lion with a gaint ring in its mouth. Its handle is made from silver,the blade is coated with ether,making it shine ad bright silver,and is has a mystical Lion fang pendent hanging from a chain on the end of the handle.
Skills/Magic:Weilds the elemental power of light and uses his own spiritual energy,and is a skilled Jujetsu and Judo. Is unmatched in his knowledge of tactics and expertise swordmanship. His forbidden move,the Spirit of the Lionara ups every physical and mental attribute by 10x,but there is a side effect...the risk of torn muscles.
Apperence:He is very well toned,not too big or too small. Has mid brown skin,light brown eyes,and long,black,silky hair that falls to his shoulders. He wears silver shoulder armor and a blue cape attached to it. He wears grey chainmail on his chest and abdomanal area. Wears a Blue T shirt under it,which is marked with symbols of Loyalty,Power,Respect,Speed,and Faith. Wears 2 chains over his chest to hold his shoulder armor up. In the very center,is an emblem of the Lion. He wears Black,mettalic thread jeans that are decorated with a Burning Lion going down the sides. He also has silver thigh armor. Wears flared black combat boots. On the sides of them are armor,and on the heel and tips are spiked. Wears spiked wrist bands too.
Personality:Calm,collected,and a smart person. Doesnt like to be bored. His mind and willpower is what makes him one of a kind.
History:Is widly known as 'Auron,The Lion Of Purity and Power. He is usually found travelling from world to world,dimension to dimension. But for some unknown reason,the Extermine locked up the Dimensional Void,and couldn't break through. Now he is out for the Extermine...

Name: Xavier Florence
Age: 18
Height: 6'0

Race: Half Wolf (Wolf + Human)
Skills/Magic: Adept in the areas of speed, agility, and resiliance, along with a great amount of raw power. He is fairly new to the world of magic, although he is becoming very good at various types of fire and ice magic.
Weapons: His trademark broadsword is his key to harnessing the power of fire, and also his weapon of choice. His bow and arrows are the main ingrediant in his ice magic, and used only for long distances or where using his sword would not be a wise choice.
Appearance: His most obvious trademark is his set of wolf ears and his tail, both of which are a deep red color, matching his hair and eyes. His hair is shaggy and the bangs of it cover his eyes. He wairs the standerd outfit of a traveler: A brown jacket made of rough material over a worn white t-shirt, along with a pair of traveler's pants made of the same material as the jacket. He also has a pair of black boots, which along with the rest of his attire, is quite worn, also.
Personality: He very easily gets excited. He isn't afraid to say or do what's right, and is very valiant in times of battle.
History: Abandoned as a child. He grew up alone, never knowing anyone but himself. While once wandering in a nearby forest searching for something to eat, he found the fabled Sword of Fire and Bow of Ice. For years he trained, until he made up in his mind that he would begin venturing to the far corners of the world. He is very nomadic; he has been wandering from place to place for years now.

Race: Shook (Desert dwelling people. Look much like humans but hair is normally white to sandy brown and have slightly tanner skin at birth.)

Weapon: Valkyrie Spear. A spear of great magical power that blesses the user with supreme power and knowledge crafted in the halls of Valhalla and wielded by the Valkyries till the spear was in trusted with the human. The spear is always filled with strong magic’s supplying the user with an endless amount of magical energy. The spear is unique is design in that the shapes and runes carved into the blade are of that of a master, its beauty matched only by the magic incased inside it.
It is said that when a maiden of pure wields the blade with all her heart she will become a Valkyrie, a pure battle maiden with great power beyond any ones imagination.

Skills/Magic: Nova is master of arms, she has a feel for every weapon and is a master marksmen but she has always liked spears the most. Saying that they allow more movement in battle and it is easer to block and parry with a spear than it is with a heavy sword or axe. More than weapons she has a great liking to magic’s, her favorite being the lunar arts. A magic art that copies and uses the power of the stars, she can use the explosive power of a supernova or the crushing power of a planets gravitational force. But it takes a lot of energy to use these skills and she can never use them to their full power for it would kill her.

Appearance: Nova has long beautiful white hair that ends half way down her back. Her eyes are dark blue and her skin is tan from living under the bright sun of the desert. Apon her head she wears a Valkyire style helmet, on each side of the helmet are five pure white feathers that jolt backwards giving the helmet a heavenly look. Her breast plate, shoulder guards, boots and gauntlets are all made in the Valkyire style, white with wonderful designs and shapes. Under her armor she wears a long white robe with golden designs all about it. Most people would probably mistake her for a Valkyire and run in fear for they think she has come to take them to Valhalla, which in some cases is true if you happen to be her enemy.

Personality: Nova is quite and open minded. She is vary intelligent is not quick to attack, and she never underestimates her opponent. She is vary clever and some times sinister for she can trick people in to doing things for her..

History: Nova is after her brother, Nexcrose who stole something of great importance to her tribe and is sent to kill him and take it back. Her other broth, Gilgmesh is also looking for him, but for other reasons. Gilgmesh has no idea how big the threat really is and so she must stop him before he learns the truth and takes up arms with his brother.

Race:Kenisian(Humanoid beings with tele and psyhkokenetic powers a.k.a they can levitate things and themselves)
Weapon:He carries the Keni(original huh)Broadsword. It enhances his psychic abbilities as well as his light magic abbilities. It is a pretty normal broadsword at that, except for the small red crystal on the handle that is rumored to hold a special entity of power. It is said when it comes time, the wielder of this weapon will become one of the only hopes to save the worlds. He also wears the Omnicast gloves. They enhance his speed, and strength in battle and they also light up whenever he uses psychic abbilities.
Skills/Magic:He has mastered all psychic and magic abillities at a young age. He is well known for his impressive speed and strength in battle. His speed mostly comes to the fact that he designs his own special clothing. His light magic is too strong to be used to its fullest extent so he sealed it with the omnicast seal which is shaped with a circle then a line coming off of that coming into another circle and then a line almost to the other edge. If it were unleashed who knows what would happen...
Appearence:He is pretty strong even without the omnicast gloves giving him a pretty curved body. He wears completely white pants made of pure Kodnesian wool. He wears white omnicast shoes that do the same thing as the omnicast gloves. He also wears a black shirt made of pure silk. He also wears a white very thin vest with neon blue lining on the edges. He also has white long hair like leon's(from final fantasy...i forget). He has yellow eyes representing that he is not a human, otherwise he would look exactly like humans.
Personallity:Optimistic, put he gets serious when you have to(kinda like Goku from DBZ)
History:He was born in the Kenisian temple island off the coast of a small human populated island. His people on that island were wipped out after the humans were to greedy to share land so close together. He searched for another area where his people lived. He could not find any on the planet called "Earth". He continued to search other galaxies until he came upon a rift in the dimensions and entered it. He wondered if he would find his people there.... (also so no one asks, he is an anscestor of Silv Theharus form the role play Vasaran.)

Name: Ray Rathalos
Age: 19
Height: 6'1
Weight: 196
Appearance: Black spiky hair, tanned skin, black eyes, has a horizontal scar going across his face. Wears a white tall T-shirt, black baggy Dickys pants, White Nike Air Force 1's, has a Navy blue folded bandana hanging out his left back pocket, and black gloves with the tip of the fingers cut off.
Weapon: A giant sword 5 feet long and 1 foot wide called Raging Wolf. It can turn into a Tiny little black, silver Ornament of a Wolf that is hung from a black, silver chain around his kneck magically to be carried.
Skills/Magic: Ray is able to transform into a giant muscular Werewolf. When he transforms his wepons are his claws, teeth, and strength. Ray has the power to control and manipulate air and bend it to his own will, Including with the power of air Ray has power over air pressure and gravity. He is trained in many forms of defense but excells in Thai Boxing otherwise known as Kick Boxing.
Personality: Laidback and Daring, if he is dared to do anything he will do it no matter what it is, except if it is something Homo. When he gets really mad or in a serious fight he might go over board, brutally killing an oppnent, but that rarely happens to him. Since he is hardly ever serious.
History: Ray is from Spira a continent on a planet called Oblivion. He lived with his brothers and master Otomo. He got tired of the constant war from the other Raging planets. He travelled to the main oppositions planet, Rayal, and found out the source of this Evil, Extermine...

Apperance:Red spiky hair, blue eyes,a ragged pair of black jeans, with a ripped up black T-shirt,and an old and very dirty pair of shoes.
Weapons:Luke uses two swords each about 4'10 tall and 1'7 wide. He attacks with both of the them simultaniously. Although sometimes if he is in a real bind he throws one of his swords at his opponent and uses just one single which makes him alot quicker.
Skills/magic:Luke has been using swords since a very young age and has almost mastered them all together, however swords are really the only weapons he knows how to use. His magic ability is lacking to say the least, he does use alittle of light magic, but he only uses it in emergencies, for it drains most of his energy. Besides that he just uses the steel from his swords and brute force.
Personality:He is always looking for a good fight. He really only cares for himself. He is like this because it has always just been him.
History:Luke really knows nothing of his past besides his last name and for some reason he really likes to fight and kill. He does know one thing his brother's name Matthew. But that is the only thing he knows and he has no clue why,

Weapon: A long sword, engaged with streams of holy light. Full of icy magic, it has a mind of it's own. A touch of it's blade burns with freezing light.
Skills: Highly trained in sword combat. Agility is his forte. his powerful legs have the speed of 200 cheetahs. He can jump extremely high and stay elavted for long periods of time. His intelligence his is strongest skill. Quick of thought, clever of decision and very prescise.
Magic: To him, time is everything. At a young age the power to stop and control time gave him the name Timpus. And with this, he also was born with the element of frozen water in his veins. He can create water and ice. When surrounded by large bodys of water, the power becomes even stronger.
Appearance: A white chest plate with gold undergarments create his clothing. Along with white boots and a white cape. His hair is spiked, short and white, along with his eyes, white.
Personality: Serious,calm and quiet. Fighting is his last option. He is a smooth talker, but makes it perfessional. Hates sarcasm.His Alter-ego is a totally oppisite man that only comes out in deep battle.
History: Born into royalty, left his castle at the age of 14, at the fear of becoming the next king. A holy wizard a met him, and trained him and gave him the power of the holy light.While training, he met Delia, the wizard's daughter. He of course fell in love with her and asked her hand in marriage. She said yes, but before they could have a wedding, she left for Xelcos to help to defeat the Extermine. She did not tell Timpus, as she feared that he would not let her go. Then the wizard told him where she went and what happened. Delia went missing in an battle. The wizard said he could sense she was alive and still in Xelcos, but her aura was to shaken to be able to find her location. So Timpus left his small house to look for his Delia in Xelcos.

The black-clad figure walked calmly through the desolate village, examining its devastated landscape with a mix of contempt and sorrow. It was obvious that this particular territory was too little, too late; limp bodies lay pooled in their own blood on the plain, each carrying a different expression of bloodchurning fear. Then, he felt it; a flicker of energy in the distance.

Shil entered the portal and traveled to another dimension. He landed on the ground flat on his face.
"Jesus, i have to work on my landings...."Shil talked to himself. He continuesd to walk and came upon a black figure. "Excuse me but do you know where i can find the nearest town"Shil asked

"Well, this is a village, and it's the only one you'll find for about twenty kilometres," the man said calmly, staring at Shil through a pair of brown irises with dilated pupils. "However, it's been wiped clear of its population, so it won't be of any use to you. What're you doing in these parts, anyway? Don't you know they're dangerous?"

"He could ask you the same thing." A woman said riding up to the pair and a chestnut red stallion with a long brown mane. From the all the gear hanging from the saddle it looked like the women was expecting a long journey.

"He could," said the man, turning to the female rider. "But the thing is, I get this feeling that we're both here on entirely different reasons... so it would be best to keep those reasons secret until we're acquainted better."

Luke just casually walked by the group of people talking with his feet draging. He had three things on his mind: a good fight, eating, and sleeping. ((Ehh I'm not much of an intro person.))

"Wait a minute..." the man said slowly. "Did you just say that you want to stay because there might be demons here? Do you realise how powerful they are?"

"Demons shmemons." Said a figure walking out in front of the others. "I've fought with the best of the demons; there's nothing to be afraid of." He said as he wagged his tail.

"You've fought with a demon?" asked the man, glancing at the figure walking in front of them. "By any chance, are you here to stop them?..."
