Does anyone else only use 3 characters?

Well I've played a few final fantasies and each time I play I get annoyed at the fact that there are about 6 characters and the party only fits 3, and being slightly lazy I always only use/level 3 characters e.g I only used Vaan, Basch and Ashe for this whole game and finished with them at levels 51-52 while balthier and the other two were 11-13 and I only used them to raise 1 person if my main 3 died and the cost for armour and weapons is so much less...

So does anyone else do this? And what are your strategies for using characters, take turns, or opportunitise and use certain characters for certain situations?

i only tend to use 3 my self


Vaan, Balthier and Fran

yeah I also only train vaan,basch and ashe,but ocassionally I train fran

I mainly use Vaan, Fran, and Ashe, but i train the other 3 too, as a backup

I use Vaan Basch and Ashe aswell. Oportunise isn't a word. Oprotunitise is. I mainly just run around with them and use physical attacks. Welcome to Supercheats by the way.

well I like the main Vaan, Ashe and Fran but I use all characters the same and everyone is the same level

I have 3 level 63 people, and 3 level 40-ish people.

Thanks for the welcome and correction Riku, by the way would there be a fast way to "power train" your really low levels, because mine get owned in any situation other than dalmasca westersand...

all my characters are at level 73

If they get owned in the westersand, I recommend training them in the estersand.

or even try the Giza Plaines and stay near the little village as it has a save crystal so you can recharge your health and MP

Yes, because there are very weak monsters there that can be beaten easily.

just dont go near element if it the rain season or in the dry season those beasts with the large axes because they will kill you very quick

I have all my characters at lv 38 :D i feel I need them there, as at the beginning they all had very important roles in my game.

MY party almost always consists of Penelo or Ashe and they have the best magic and so heal the best :D Then balthier and basch are interchangeable, they are my strongest melees. Last person in my party is normally Fran :\ as Vaan tends to get killed too quickly in my game, lol.

So yeaah...

...Oh and now im past Arcades i used the embroided tippet on one person at a time, mainly because i couldnt afford lots ;) and i like having one person with the countering equip and one with thiefs gloves so I can get some more loot for money!!



and Riku, Oprotunitise isnt a word, biscuit means to take an opportunity at hand (like an opportunist would do)
