The City Of Angels

"This is it," said Chaos, reaching the top of the staircase. "You ready for this, Faith?"
Thanatos became charged with dark energy. Chaos kicked the door, which swung open.

The door opened to reveal alarge stone room,bigger than the ones they'd seen downstairs.A throne stood at the back of the room right infront of them which was already ocupated.

What appeared to be the king of the demons was sat in the throne in front of Chaos and Faith.
"Ah, the infamous Chaos Stevens," drawled the demon. "We meet at last."
"Alfie," said Chaos, raising Thanatos slightly. "We need to talk."

Faith glared at the demon called Alfonso who stood and walked arms opened. She griped tighter to her sword and shot a glance at Chaos.

"My dear boy," said Alfonso. "Whatever could be the problem?"
"You sent your demons after us," said Chaos. "Stop trying to kill us, or I'll rip you in half. Seems like a fair deal, don't you think?"

"Seems fair to me,"Faith agreed fixing the demon with a icy glare.

"I'm sure you won't go that far," said Alfonso.
"Try me," said Chaos. "I've still got that curse your demons put on me, Slick. I could easily let the darkness take over and destroy you instantly."

Faith looked at Chaos and wondered if he was serious or just saying it to get Alfonso a bit jumpy. She looked back at the demon who did seem very cautious.

"You... have not broken it?" asked Alfonso shakily.
"Nope," said Chaos. "I realised I might need a bit of extra darkness. I lied about breaking the curse. The four stones weren't used to break the curse, but to amplify its power!"

Faith stared at him,unable to believe what he ws saying was real so she directed her gaze to Alfonso,her thoughts doing backstrokes. Was he just lying or did he really lie to her? Questions and thoughts grew rapidly and began to clutter her mind until she felt them eat away at her.

"The stones did... what, exactly? Amplified the curse's power?"
"That's what I said, isn't it?" asked Chaos.
"You're making it up," Alfonso said bluntly.
"Damn," muttered Chaos. "Oh well, no harm in trying. Time for plan B."

"Plan B?"Faith repeated and the questions in her mind began to dissolve.

"Rip him a new one," said Chaos, grinning. He flew forward, hurling a ball of dark energy at Alfonso.

"That could be a plan,yeah,"Faith muttered watching as the ball of dark energy hit the demon.

"Feel free to step in at any time!" Chaos shouted to Faith, kicking Alfonso in the face. "I might need a bit of help at some point, you know!"

"Good lord,"Faith muttered,but grinned at him. The angel walked up closeto Alfonso and sent him flying into the wall opposite with a flamming kick and the thrust and power of the attack had strongly winded him,as well as make the ceiling crumble slightly.

"I didn't know you had it in you," smirked Chaos, sidestepping a falling chunk of rock. "Really, nice one."
He slammed the handle of Thanatos into Alfonso's face.

"Thanks,"Faith smiled at him and gave Alfonso another strong kick.
