I got the game yesterday and within 2 or so hours, i had ran into a shiny west sinnoh shellos and shellos has now become my favourite DP pokemon so far! I'm desperatly looking for an East Sinnoh shiny shellos now Smile wish me luck lol

I haven't gotten any random shinied. But with the AR code, my shiny Arceus is my favorite.

well there not shiny your shellos there are 2 different kinds of them 1 east + 1 west

I dont know if it's beginners luck or what, but on day 3 of my pokemon pearl adventures, I caught myself a shiny budew! which means....a shiny roserade! Rock
It doesnt look much different...
Where it has a dark green patch around its neck, that bit is just purple...and its a lighter green colour...
I now have a shiny West Shellos, level 19 and a Shiny budew level 12

Lucky you. I love shiny Roselia and Roserade. The purple and black roses are cooler then the red and blue.

The suckiest thing to ever happen to me in pokemon happened to me two days ago. I was looking for a Yanma in the Great Marsh so I could get a Yanmega. I'd been searching for an hour, and finnaly I found one and it was SHINY! I tossed a pokeball, it broke free after 2 shakes. I threw a second ball, it broke free after 1 shake. I threw a third, it broke free after 3 shakes! Then...I threw a fourth...it broke free after 1 shake...and RAN! I was so ticked off I released all of my pokemon! I didn't save though...

But other than the shiny Spheal I ran into (and killed -.-) and that Yanma, I havn't obtained or seen any shines as of yet. (I don't use AR because it's cheap and takes the pride out of catching a shiny.)

Shinies I want:
That dang Yanma!
Gengar
Porygon-Z
Typhlosion
Spiritomb
Steelix (He's gold, so I'd name his Goldix)

wow...i want a shiny spheal...spheal is one of my fav pokemon.

and i didnt know that wild pokemon could run. the only pokemon that ever ran from me was in the safari zone.

i know that feeling, the 2 shinys i obtain myself was obtaining a shiny oddish in the safari zone, i prayed it wouldnt run away and i luckily captured it, and my second was getting a shiny charmander from oak

It might not sound like it, but the starters are probably easier to get in shiny...Just save it before you choose the pokeball and keep resetting until you get one...but personally i dont have the patience...I did it once on Crystal with Suicune...i was there for about an hour and a half and when it was finally a shi, my Pc box was full ¬_¬ so i lost interets, and recently, my emerald save went corrupt so i lost my shiny starmie :( but now im happy with my shellos and budew. Im happy with the ones i have, it wouldnt bother me if i never saw another shiny, i dont see the point in searching for them, Because you almost never find them, And it kind of ruins the suprise when you see one, it's more exciting If you arnt looking for one and it just jumps out at you. I got put off searching for them because when i started my sapphire again, the poochyena at the beginning was shiny, after all the time i spent, It was the one pokemon i couldnt have. Ah well, what can you do? Smile

I never give my Pokemon nicknames...
I was in a battle with a trainer over wifi, and he had given his pokemon the most ridiculous nicknames...There was a Gyarados named "scary d00d" ... why would you do that? lol
But the steelix sounds cool...My friend has a shiny onix...He's half way there!

I don't nickname my pokemon either, I would only nickname my shiny Steelix if I got one.

Well that's fair enough lol
I like steelix, It's in my top 10, i'm just not sure whether id like a shiny version.
I'm starting to wonder what shinies i'd find in diamond version...
Im still waiting on it to arrive...
Oh well...
My Budew is so hard to make happy, it's going to take ages for me to get it into a Roselia, and then i have to find a shiny stone! Its going to take ages for me to get my shiny Roserade!! merhh

I nicknamed by pokemon in my gold and crystal versions becasue the pokemon were a different color on pokemon stadium 2 and 1
