Veterans such as myself know that SC had a whole forum called "Spam Fest" for a while, the idea went completely horrible. Basically, when people where allowed to do it there, theycouldnt control themselves elsewhere, so the forum was deleted and spam has bin completely banned forum wide since.

Anyways, that idea didn't turn out so well for the reasons qwertyuio mentioned, but also because Spam Fest lowered the overall quality of posts on SuperCheats and was really looked down upon and ridiculed by other forums.

Exactly. And BTW, as I have menitioned many times, I stalked aroun a lot in the early years, and made a post every now and then, but mainly started in early 07, I still know most of the 05 and 06 info though. ;)

Not what I meant. I meant a forum to advertise stuff on sc. Teams, foriums sig shops ecetra. And having a advertise forum might help solve the problem of it being in the wrong place.

Due to historical events on this site, there is especially a reason as to why we do not allow advertising in our posts - nonetheless making a forum especially for that reason. Basically, the basic outline of the rules we have came from experience, but also from common sense, and were thus made for a reason.
