what pokemon do you prefer to start out with?

I prefer treeko that evolves into grovyle then into sceptile. the best move that he learns is Leaf Blade

Torchic well thats opinion.

If only we could pick any basic pokemon(except legendaries) as starters. And mine is totodile.

Torchic is the best because when he evolves into Blazekin he kicks @$$ Plus he may not help you during the gyms battles but he is a real kill in the pokemon league ( Sidney/Glacia )

I started with Torchic. I think that is the best and strongest pokemon! besides Mudkip. Right now my Torchic is now a Blaziken and his level is at 83. His best move is Sky Uppercut.

i like blaziken mines only at level 53 but i like blaze kick i think torchic is the best to start out with

That is a horrible set, but if your just going to battle in the game then it is good, but don't really go to Battle Fonteir like that. Treecko I profere as well.

Torchic is a very good starter. Blaziken is very fast and has very good moves. On the other hand, Mudkip isn't affected by electricity, and can learn ground and ice moves. IMO, both of them are at a tie. As for Treecko, he's just plain cool looking!

No Blaziken is the slowest Fire starter type. Treecko is probaby the best starter because he has the best speed and special attack out of the three; it learn learns some powerful moves as well. So Treecko is more then just looks.

well if it's in game wouldn't u prefer blazekin? coz a fire/fighting type that's physicali offensive just tips everything in yer direction in the new gyms

1st gym is rock u can fight it (charmander/typhlosion could never do this)
2nd gym fighting type no major advantage (but u can burn em...)
3rd gym is electric; but magnemites are steel types + no huge weakness other than speed
4th gym is fire gym; half of the fire pokes rocks =D
5th gym... normal gym... =D double kick n e one?
6th gym is flying; probabli the onli gym blaze gets the bench (but in emerald could use it against tropius incase manetric was wat u used against it; like me XD)
7th is psychic... yeah... but the ones in the boss battle are rocks... again...
8th gym is... ice XD blaze can stil punch them

1st dude is dark type... blaze can pwn em
2nd is ghost... blaze can STIL pwn em with fire
3rd is ice... blaze totali and utterli pwn ...
4th is dragon... nope blaze dun pwn, but nothing's keeping blaze from taking them down too badli
5th is water... its the last battle, u'd be stupid if u brought blaze alone

water
ground
ice

my favorite is torchic cuz when he evolves into blazekin and teach him overheat nothing can stop not even at the battle frontier except for that pesky battle pike queen lucy she's annoying with all of her pkmn especially her milotic even though it is my favorite!!!!!!

Overheat? That badly weakens your special attack stat by 2 levels, but if you feel like swiching each time and getting your other Pokemon damaged that is a possibility lol.
