Who is Better? Lugia Or Ho-Oh?

i think lugia is better

okay. here the deal. lugia deccent SP attk and horrible attk.. WHY WOULD YOU GIVE IT PHYSICAL ATTACKS. both of its defenses are 10X better then ho oh's.

ho oh sp attk decent and attak is above average. sacred fire is physical but will not to half to lugia. ho oh's defenses are only in the low low 200's at level 100. lugia's can be in the 300's.

so technicly without any variables(critical hit burn paralysis) lugia would win.

im off for ho-oh cause if ho-oh uses sunny day then solar beam then lugia be by by

lol Piplup masterman, solarbeam is weak to lugia. if it hit it would be not very effective.

I think Lugia is better but heads-up I think it would be closer then most think... Lugia is faster which will probably mean he will win but Lugia will probably have Sp. Attacks and Ho-Oh's Special Defense could be up to 447!! Lugia's could as well but Ho-Oh will attack with physical were Lugia's defense isn't as good... Well it is still pretty good so I think Lugia will still have the advantage but I dunno because Ho-Oh's attack is much better than Lugia's Special Attack so I would have to see the battle... But whatever way u look at it, Sacred Fire will do more damage than a Aeroblast as long as Aeroblast doesn't get a critical hit though Sacred Fire could burn so I really don't know... I think it would be close if they are both trained properly...

lugia is way better than ho oh. it can learn way better moves and looks cooler also.

Oh well, sometimes i forget some types out of like 16 of em.

PS: Typhlosionowns. Look who's talking "learn your types." "Psychic is only weak to Dark and Bug" and "Flying is only weak against electric and rock," are you out of ur mind?! Ghost is good on Psychic, and Ice is good on Flying. So please make sure of what ur sayin' or you might have to start eating your own words (which will not be comfortable).

lugia and ho-oh have almost the same base stats; the difference is lugia has 130 base defense and 110 base attack, while ho-oh has 110 base defense and 130 base attack
we can thus conclude that lugia is a better wall and ho-oh is a better tank
lugia is defensive ho-oh is offensive
who is better all depends on the situation - but they're roughly equal
i personally like ho-oh better
they're both uber anyways, so they're banned why bother?

Lugia's an undisputed Uber contender, where as Ho-oh has trouble switching in thanks to Stealth Rock.

In D/P, Lugia is superior, if only because of Stealth Rock... Ho-oh's status as an Uber is being debated actually...

I am going to Pick Lugia. He dominates when it comes to Ho-Ho.

His move pool is better and most of his moves trump Ho-Ho tremendously.

Here's what I think: If it's a real battle, it's all down to move sets. I think Ho-oh wins this catagory. If you teach it Shadow Ball, you've pretty much won vs. Lugia. If it's a battle of looks and stats, Lugia kills.

Lugia is better, get over it; a pokemon that takes 50% HP worth of damage every time they enter battle can't be better than the tank of GSC.

well its all about personal opinion, i like lugia because he looks better and he was the first legendary on GSC i actually got xD
they even made a film for lugia, well a film with lugia and the 3 birds in, what its called escapes my mind, but i LOVE lugia's song
but where is ho-ohs flm? and where is ho-ohs song? there isn't one, so lugia has got to be better

where lugia has her own full length episode with her baby called "silver" and lugia is in the film with his own song!

Lugia is the best he can learn water type moves and ho ho cant do that plus water or fire WHO WINS
