I dont even think Liverpool will have a season as good as 08/09. Alonso wants out, Mascerano cant decide, theres no commitment, glad to see that Glen Johnson played well last night in our first pre-season friendly.

It is going to be a very unpredictable season, I think we will have a new winner this year though.

Robinho needs to shut his mouth, it's becoming obnoxious, really.

That's not the attitude though, it shouldn't be the best players going to the top four, it's a shame teams like everton aren't able to keep the likes of Rooney to be honest. I want more teams to challenge.

It's likely to be Arsenal if anyone falls from the top four.

So you would rather see raw tallent stay at some of the "smaller" clubs rather than move to the likes of United or Chelsea and progress even further and become even better than they could have dreamed staying at a club outside the top four? I agree it would make for better competition for the Premiership itself, but many players have commitment issues nowadays, Kaka said he wanted to stay at Milan for life, Rooney said he would "be a blue forever". Money means more to todays players than playing the sport itself.

Well if the smaller teams likeeverton and Villa can keep the likes on Rooney, Lescott, Agbonalor and Barry, they'd be challenging up there with the top teams, making it a top 8, or whatever. With the view that they eventuially become as good as the top teams, thus giving them no reason to move, you get me?

yeah, fair point, im sick of people refering to it as the "top four", i personally like villa, always have done, just tired of people writing off certain clubs because they are not seen as one of the top four.

Speaking of writing off teams, you see what Fergusson said about us, that we have should'nt have won the champions league? That we were lucky? PFFFT!!!

Let me think, oh yeah, Munich were winning all game, 2 late goals from United, is that not lucky? Terry missed a penalty, United went on to win, is that not down to luck? Hes really wound me up, like more than usual. Just waiting to here what Rafa has got to say in response, be something about "FACTS!" knowing him.

It's already confirmed, Alonso has already moved to Real Madrid, alongside with Alvaro Arbeloa.

Haha, yeah Fergusen being a huge hypocrit, Terry slipping and hitting the post missing the pen by about an inch is probably the biggest stroke of luck possible. Though Rafa doesn't help himself when he comes out with a load of ******** making himself look pathetic. He has quite a lot of ammo this time, hopefully he'll use it wisely instead of just looking like a muppet.

yeah, when he had his "facts" rant, about how united were scared beacause we were top of the league, I just knew that they would go on and win it, just typical, Raffas to arrogant and proud

Why did Liverpool let Alonzo go, he compliments Gerrards attacking style perfectly.
