you seem to have missed some skulls.
for example in the first mission there is a white skull called blind.

Well, if you're playing on a higher difficulty just modify your tactics slightly. (Eg: Fire right Handed gun first before firing the left one so your not left reloading while the enemy takes pot shots at you.)

yes but if you find and claim hidden skulls (not all of them are gold) you get pieces of spartan armour.

shoulders after 9
the helmet after you find and claim all 13 hidden skulls

OK, that missing silver skull from level has now been included in the guide. Thanks for pointing that out.

thanks, i know the skulls unlock the spartan armour but it's unknown to me how the elite armour is unlocked.

The Cortana mission on Legendary was... Not fun? The skull was enjoyable to get on it though.
