no you have to play with one and it has to reincarnate 3 times then give it all the animals then it should evolve to 1

well um treat it nice and feed it and stuff dont ever urt it and race it so itll be happy

Your Chao has to reincarnate 2 times. On it's third life, give it one of every animal (absolutely NO Chaos Drives!) and raise it with a Dark Character. And there you have it.
