The end of the Earth

Hello, thank you for clicking onto my topic.

I have created this topic to see what views you have on when the world will end and how it will end. There are many kinds of ways people believe the world will end, for example the December 2012 the world is meant to end, there are many rumors about this, but we've seen rumors like this before, like the world was meant to end in 2000 as well and as you know that didn't happen.

Do you think the world will be coming to an end anytime soon? I am really not sure and i wanted to see your views on the topic.

If I were to hazard a guess on a year roughly it would be a bit silly, but what I do believe is that we have greatly decreased the time it will take for the world to end due to us increasing the rate of global warming.
Global warming is a natural effect because of the core and the heat slowly warming everywhere up more and more, but we've just accelerated the rate of it.
So my answer to this is probably sooner than people will expect.

Planet Earth will be around until the Sun explodes. However, I doubt life on Earth will still be around by then, since the Sun will expand first.

EDIT - Anyone who believes the world will end sometime in December 2012 is an idiot.

I know planet earth will be around , maybe I an inappropriate title, I meant what will we see the last of before we are destoryed

I doubt the Earth will end for another (at least) couple of million years. But if you're talking about the 'life' then maybe a couple of hundred because of this Global Warming.

The matter of global warming, some people believe it is just a myth although we can already see the effects of it and yes this is true we will kill of our earth with global warming

I personally believe that the Earth will end when the sun goes into it's nest stage, a Red Giant, I believe. It is said that it will have a tremendous uprising in it's heat, taking out the first 3 (maybe 4, even) planets completely. But, this won't happen for millions of years to come, and we'll all be dead by then.

I don't know when the world will end, and personally I don't care, seeing as how I probably won't be around by the time the that it does.

Though I do know that if It did come, I would want to see the sky falling, because that would be really cool. I would die happy, if I could see the sky falling. That would be awesome!

Yeah i heard that Rumor about 2012.
Like you said the world was suppose to end in 2000,
and that didn't happened,but i do believe the end
is near than we think,but that still a while aways.

Global warming..it's here. It's affecting us, and most of us just don't care. We'll continue to destroy the world, and when the world heats up we'll all wonder what went wrong. It'll be to late to do anything, and that Al gore guy can say " I told you so. "

It is not harsh, it is true, its hard actually believe they don't realize it is happening

Thats^ the exact date that the world is suppose to end apparently, but its just a bunch of bull I think.

Global Warming is real, its been confirmed time and time again.

If you believe in God then all this 2012 stuff should be crap to you, it says in the Bible that not even the angels in Heaven know when it will end. And also there is suppose to be the birth of the Antichrist, the Rapture, and 7 years of turmoil before it all ends, and 2012 is only 5 years from now. Its all crap. Are you all atheists or something!?
