In Emerald, with the Move Deleter, im trying to have my Sharpedo forget 3 HMs. Something different occured.
First shot
Second shot
Third shot
Fourth shot

It shows in Sequence:
Sharpedo Move sets. Surf and Crunch.
Sharpedo trying to forget Surf.
Move Deleter saying: Hm!
Move Deleter saying: Your Sharpedo doesn't seem willing to Forget Surf.

Has anyone else ever encountered a Message such as that when attempting to Delete Moves? o_O
Yo.

That is very strange... Next time I'm near my gameboy I'll give that a try and see if it comes up. What nature/level is you sharpedo?

Good bye everyone, it's been fun!

Now I'm kind of a noob, so don't blame me if I say this:

If it's an HM, I don't think it can be forgotten. Period. If you get a new level move, you can't delete an HM (I tried it.) You can't TM Over it.

I think this is how it goes.

No, that's not the problem. You're half-right: HMs can't be deleted by TMs or Leveled moves, but they can be deleted by move deleters. However the reason you can't delete Surf from your Sharpedo confuses me... lemme see if I can delete surf off my Blastoise in Pearl.

Yeah, i agree with your First line. Theres a MOVE DELETER. he can Delete HM's and TM's. Any Move depending on if the Pokemon is Willing to forget it.

My Blastoise could forget it in Pearl, maybe it's just in Emerald that it does that.

Okay. I never tried the move deleter (I'm careful with my moves chosen.) so I never tried.

Maybe a Water Pokemon with Surf...?
'Nah.

I think its because they are water pokemon and surf is a water type move which they grew attached to.

Maybe because it will only have one move left that it won't give it up? Teach it some random move then try. If it doesn't work, wtf.
