Yeah, so I'm stuck with Medium to Hard. >_>

I can do Easy and Medium EASILY on this game, no problems, a few screw ups on my part, but when I try hard, the orange fret kills me. I have a hard time adjusting my hand and for some reason I just don't do Hammer ons and Pull offs.

HOs and POs are easy imo. You could just do the Training part that is on there to help you adjust. If you didnt know already, HOs and POs are missing the black circle in the middle, making the note a bit brighter. Then you can tap them without strumming. I hope that helps.

My tip once again. Play on co-op, with a friend keeping you alive using the dualshock/360 controller. If you have someone keeping you from failing, you can practise more and more and eventually you'll be able to do it.

I have it for the PS2.

Anyway I have no friends to keep me alive.

Just practice on the Training, or play songs that you have noticed having a reasonable amount of HOs and POs. Impulse I think isnt too hard, but it has some on there, that and Cult of Personality are good ones.

Here's a tip. On the buttons on the screen, if you can see the black circle in the middle surrounding the white dot, you have to strum. If the white dot is glowing, you can HO/PO.

And the switch from Medium to Hard is the most difficult one to make.

Yeah that's a cool aspect of the game, I'm really good at the HO/Po's too.

Oh, cool, I've been doing HO's and PO's on Medium the whole time without realising it. I've been wondering why I didn't lose my streak when I forgot to strum sometimes...

this is my tip

go on the cheats for this game and get the no Fails in quick play
and just keep trying that way u can get through a whole song by practicing and not having to start over.

oh yea thats how i learned how to play one and Through the Fire and Flames on hard =D

Yeah, the first time I went from Med to Hard, I got screwed, but I found and easier way to do it:

Keep your thumb at the top of the guitar, on the part where it slopes up from the handle to the 'tuner' part, this lets you easily push you hand over to the orange frets when you see them. A few rounds in practice won't hurt either.

i went from med to expert lmfao... correct me if im wrong, the start of through the fire and the flames on expert, u just tap colours, u dont strum any? cause it didnt work for me lol...

You strum the first note, and you can hammer on and pull off all the rest of the notes, but it's tough, if you miss one note, you have to strum again.

Exactly. You can't miss a single one or you have to strum again.

Well i'm making the transition too and i play high seventies eighties and i put my pinky on orange and the rest following so instead of moving my pinky i move my pointer.

Well, I use only 3 fingers to play all the time. Just go into practice mode often, if you should get sufficent practice, and soon see some improvements.
