Revelation: Apocalypse
In the beginning, God created Heaven and Earth...
Gabriel ran through the brush, the trees reaching their arms out to block his path and cut his body. All around him that was once unmoving was filled with life, and even worse, bitterness, and hatred. The rocks hurled themselves at him, the grass grew rough and slick to trip him. He knew he must escape, but beating the powers of evil isn't an easy matter, he new that. He looked around, for some way to escape. This took his mind off the ground, however, and he quickly tripped on a tree who had reached its roots out to fall him. He fell to the ground, hitting his head on a rock that had just shifted to the right place at the wrong time. He was out cold as soon as he hit.
But the Earth grew rotten, sin escaped and made the Earth bitter... The year is 2096. This may seem like a distant time in the future, but it is nothing of the sort. Wars have raged, destroying much of what we know the earth to be now. The battles that raged left technology as a mere thing of the past. The planet has been hurtled into the past in a sense; no more guns or firearms, just swords and bows, and other medieval weapons. The onset described in the book of Revelations has began. A third of the water has turned to blood, a third of all cities have fallen. The grasp of evil has never been stronger, and seems unstoppable. The Beast has began his ascent from the bottomless pit, and if all goes well, will arrive in due time for the unfortunate citizens of the ruined planet. His foothold on the planet will be invincible, for he will hold power almost as strong as the Lord's. But will history be rewritten? Can evil itself be stopped?
Questing to end the terror, a young man named Gabriel saddled himself up and left home, ready to work with the hands of light and relinquish the forces of the Beast before he even arrives. Little did he know that even with the aid of the Holy Spirit, his journey will be too much for him alone. Bearing the name of the messenger of God, he will soon find that his place in history is set, and he will be joined in his quest by some unlikely friends and allies. But even then, can the end of times be stopped, or even postponed?
Hell almighty will arrive on Earth. Gabriel awoke, strings of pain jolting through every minuscule fiber of his body. He opened his dazed blue eyes and looked around wearily, curious of how he was still alive. He was in a shabby old house and all was quiet. Dead quiet. He continued looking around to keep himself occupied and cope with the cold, creeping feel of the home.
His bed was made of hard straw, the floor was mere dirt. The walls were old and riddled with small holes, allowing insects and rats to sneak their way in. It was dark outside, midnight air rushed into the small room, leaving Gabriel shivering, even under the amass of old, dirty quilts stacked onto him.
Hello? he called out, and immediately, footsteps were heard in the hall. Gabriel brushed his brown hair from his eyes in anticipation to who his rescuer, or captor, may be. A man, adorned with a red cloak, appeared at the door, his silver eyes penetrating through his silky black hair.
Hello, Gabriel. My name is Lucifer; the dark man uttered, a slight British tone giving him a sense of royalty, welcome to my home.

Rules:
1.If you have magic, you must have some sort of object endowed with the Holy Spirit to use it. You can't just spontaneously be able to use magic with no reason.
2.No being on the Beast's side. This would just mess things up too much.
3.No spamming, flaming, etc.
My characters:
Name: Gabriel
Age: 20
Height: 6'0
Weight: 165 lbs
Weapons: A simple, nameless blade. It's simply a run-of-the mill sword, there's nothing that distinctive about it.
Magic: Using a pendant he was given by his grandfather, he is able to manipulate the elements of ice and fire. However, depending on the situation and Gabriel's emotions, the strength of the two powers differs.
Skills: He has more power then his posture and size lets on. What he lacks in sheer brute force, however, he makes up with stamina and speed he has developed from his family's nomadic and adventurous ways. One of his most notable abilities is his ability to jump very far and very high, clearing several meters both in the air and on the ground with a single jump, making it easier for him to jump to higher ground to hide or perform stealthy operations.
Appearance: With his shaggy brown hair covering it and his crisp blue eyes illuminating it, his face is usually filled with an air of determination. He wears a black button-up shirt underneath an off-white jacket he always keeps unzipped, the sleeves of both only reaching to his mid-forearms. He has a normal pair of black trousers and a pair of old, tattered boots upon his feet. His wrists are adorned with bracelets and bands symbolizing different things he stands for or fights for. He has a loop secured on his pants to hang the sheath of his sword for when he's not battling.
Personality: Calm, cool, and all around determined. His view of the world is somewhat intellectual, he enjoys watching nature and the serenity of the Earth. He can be somewhat immature at times, especially when he fails at goals he sets for himself, but he is usually very stable-minded.
History: Born in a village near what is today New York. He was born into a wealthy family, but that wealth was mostly put into the adventures his family would always take. They were in a different area each week, and due to this, Gabriel was schooled on the run. Finally, at age 12, he refused to go to school due to losing so many friends. Due to this, his father introduced him to swordsmanship, so he'd at least have some skill. He learned both how to wield and make swords. After he quickly mastered the art of the sword, his grandfather took him under his wing, awarding him with his prized pendant and tutoring Gabriel in the arts of magic while also reading parts of the Scripture to him. After his grandfather's death, the events listed in the book of Revelations began appearing, and due to his tutoring, he knew now was the time to take a stand.
Name: Lucifer
Age: 25
Height: 6'2
Weight: 177 lbs
Weapons: A black partisan endowed with a small emerald on the shaft, allowing him to manipulate the forces of nature and move mountains, literally. Its reach, combined with the length of his arms, is about twelve feet. The emerald was said to be worn by on of Christ's prophets.
Magic: The ability to control the forces of nature and move earth. Among his abilities, he can control the weather to an extent, kill or revive plants, revive wildlife, and shift the tiniest of pebbles to very large mountains.
Skills: Relies on his wit and speed rather than power or force. He is very good at setting and executing traps and is also an accomplished actor and liar, and has the ability to lure foes into a false sense of security.
Appearance: All around, he looks like he should be on the side of evil due to his attire and cold-looking persona. He wears a black vest under a long, red trench coat he wears in the style of a cloak. On his black vest, there are several leather straps crossing here and there, securing several items he may need to their hiding places. He has long, smooth black hair that runs down to his shoulders, some bangs hanging loosely in front of his sharp face, covering most of his penetrating silver eyes. He wears a pair of black jeans tucked into a pair of black combat boots, which have knives strapped to the heels in case of emergency.
Personality: Usually keeps quiet unless he has something he absolutely needs to say. He cares little for what others think about him and usually follows his own path and what he thinks is best.
History: Born and abandoned in an alleyway at birth, he was soon found by a worker in an orphanage and raised without parents. He was always bullied because he was one of the youngest, smallest kids in the orphanage, and because his silver eyes held no color. Due to his rough upbringing, he has hardened himself in a mental shell, allowing his mind to not care about others actions or what they think, and has caused him to be, for lack of a better word, slightly egotistical. He ran away in his late teens and entered a martial arts dojo, learning kenpo karate and other forms of mixed martial arts, including pole arm training. The members of the academy soon became his second family, but this time, he was treated as an equal, sometimes even a better due to his high martial arts ability. He once again had to leave after his dojo was wiped from the earth due to a nuclear strike, but somehow, he survived. When he emerged from the rubble, a partisan was embedded tip-first into the earth, and he was drawn to take it. He soon learned of its power, and regularly uses it to do good for himself and sometimes, even others.
