Fable 2 - Info, Features, etc...

Although I'm sure there are many things new in Fable 2, I'll post the few that I know and please, if ANYONE knows any new info or something that isn't posted here already, POST IT! I'd love to read all the submissions and gather all the game info I can!

1) Of course the DOG - the dog, although not completely controllable by the character, is going to be the best part of the game (in my opinion). It follows you around, plays with you, warns you of danger, attacks the hardeest opponents, doesn't die, and you don't even need to feed it! You can also play ball and other toys with it!

2) The next best thing! Children! Althouhg the dog IS cool, children are awesome - your children are small copies of you. So what your character is, the children will be!

3) Every property will be available for buying! Yup! That's right. EVERY property you see you can buy and also has atleast ONE quest to it!

4) You can now be GOOD or EVIL and CORUPTED or NOBLE

5) Using downloadable arcade games from xbox live (a few weeks before Fable 2 comes out) to gain money and be rich before and after the game comes out!

That's about all i can think about on the top of my head!

It is also up for debate that gay couples in the game probably will not be able to have children, but nothing is official yet... Ther are also sites that are posting their opinions say gay couples in Fable 2 should be able to adopt from the orphanage.

i heard that you will be able to choose weather you want to be female or male. also that you will be able to choose the kind of person that you want to be as in choosing the kind of weapon that you will wield during the game. i heard that you will be able to design your character as you see fit. ex: facial features & hair color. you may also be able to import your own face onto your character via pics that you can load on your x-box 360.

I like what is all said in this forum, but is Fable 2 coming out on the PC?

Big news. Although, it's a bit old, and some may know by now, but w/e.

Co-Op mode! A style similar to Dark Allience or Lego Star Wars, there will be an online and offline same-screen co-op mode where you can battle with a friend.

Also, Fable 2's official release date is October 2, 2008. (I think it's the 2nd, but it's definatly some time in October)

Hey imaloony, do you know if the game is coming out on the PC?

I don't think it is, but I could be wrong. Anyways, that would make it phail in one of its biggest features, which is same-screen co-op.

NEW INFO: The dog will be replacing our good friend the Mini Map. The dog will be able to alert you to enemies and help you find chests however.
Also, if you have been living under the rock of Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, and Grand Theft Auto IV, you won't know this, even though most people do already, but Fable 2 shall have Guns. Nothing like blowing a Balverine apart with an M16, but you'll have muskets at least. (Beats the hell out of using bows...)
Lastly, if you didn't know this already, all melee combat will take place on the X button, all ranged combat (Crossbows and Muskets) will take place on the Y button, and all Magic will take place on the B button.

MOAR INF0: I stated previously that I thought Fable 2's release date was October 2nd, but It turns out that I was wong; Fable 2's REAL release date, officially announced on X-Play yesterday, is October 21st, 2008.

Ahem, anyways, there was also a playable demo in which it revealed a player walking across a very familer covered bridge. Can't figure it out yet? Idiot... It's Oakvale, fram Fable 1! However, it looks as if the water level has risen in the past 500 years, and now, nearly the entier town is underwater, leaving only a lone chest on the shore.

Interesting....It kind of sucks that after fable 1, Oakvale is underwater...I really wish they would have atleast have kept the Fable 1 character's home village in tact but maybe a bit more evolved...-_-

But he's dead, so what does it matter?

I wasn't talking about the character himself, I was saying I wish they would keep Oakvale around, and speaking of Oakvale, I just noticed it's had a pretty bad history. It had bullies, kids who wanted to break stuff, it burned, it had it's people slaughtered, the bandits raided it and now it's underwater....

It's an RPG. I think that town got off pretty easy...

Oh, you knew Oakvale was going to be in it, and obviously it wasn't going to be the same. I doubt it has any significance to the plot anyways, after all, it's underwater. I mean, I know you can swim in the game, but I doubt that there's much down there. It's not like we're spoiling the whole plot by telling you what happened to one town in 500 years.

I actually had no idea it was in it. I tend to stay away from even the smallest spoilers.

Well it takes place in Albion. I was actually expecting Oakvale to be be in it. I'd be surprised if it wasn't. I just didn't expect it to be underwater.

I like how the dog tries to help dig once he spots something under ground. He also chases his tail once you dig it up, pleased with himself.

In one demo Peter shows on X-Play, the dog leads you up to the shore where Oakvale was and leads you to a chest. He opens it and finds a potion and a toy for the dog >.>

Damn dog, I wanted a gun.
