I don't think her dad had an influence on her popularity other than sharing the last name bit.
But playing under a Disney label instantly makes you an icon amongst the younger generation.

I agree completely with Dani and Abby. She is over-rated in everything shes done. I've seen her show and it's bogus. It seems more like a self-centered girl trying to make sure that people find out who she is.
