ok, if you meant that you want someone to give you their smith lvl to train, it won't work. the assist does not give the person the exp, only to the host.
for smithing i would suggest doing the knights sword quest to start off, and make your own bars and make the highest thing possible.

if you were rich like me =) you could become lazy and buy poo loads of iron bars and save having to smith them
smithing is the most evil stat I dont know why you wanna train it but it gets moderatly good rewards when you get level 90 so keep at it

if he's not quite as rich as me I give these tips:
1. become extremely patient
2. mine as much iron ore as you can before you die of boredom
3. smelt it into iron bars
4. smith till your patience (spelling?) level is 99
or
5. become rich like me
