Anthrax was one of the first bands to start the rap/rock genre

Featuring Public Enemy

You make it sound as if Anthrax are known for being a rap rock band. Those rap songs were just one-offs

If you like thrash metal, you'll like them. They were considered one of "The Big Four" of thrash, alongside Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer
Here's a video of the better known, classic lineup of Anthrax
Later, Joey Belladonna was replaced by John Bush, from Armored Saint (another band you thrash fans want to try out. I saw them live and they were awesome). Here's a video of that lineup

ha ok im not trying to say that anthrax is rap rock im just saying they were one of the first to use it to an advantage
