How do i get darkrai in the pokedex

There are a couple of ways that you can go about this.
1, is by using a cheating device to get the Membership Pass that activates the Darkrai event.
the 2nd, is going to Cresselia's island and surfing to the east until you come to Darkrai's island.
the 3rd, is trading with someone that has it.
EDIT:
I forgot the 4th and newest way of getting Darkrai. With the newest Pok�mon Ranger game is a mission for Darkrai, once completed this Darkrai can be transferred to Diamond or Pearl.

ok I have pearl and was trying to do the 2nd way you said to get darkrai but cant figure out where to use surf could i get some help

I don't remember anywhere you would be able to surf, but you can get the action replay and activate 'walk through anything' and walk over to the island Darkrai is on.

what is action replay anyway i keep seeing that all over the place and how do you get it?

It's something you buy that holds cheats for the games registered. It's fun to use, but sometimes it can cause glitches.
