I am new to the game and cant seem to wield anything on my characters so they can level up,can anyone tell mw how to equip items?

There are a few ways to equip the items. One way is to play Dragon Adventure and when it comes to a bttle pick ur fighters and instead of picking fight choose Evolution Z and you can then equip items from there. U can also do it by selcting the Evolution Z mode thing at the mode select screen and do it that way.
