Huge DLC announcements by Bethesda

I looked at the Gamestop reservation list and apparently it got delayed. It said that it was coming out on the 25th. Now I have to wait like 9 days for it.

Cool weapons and armor. You also miss out on Alien Epoxy which can be used to repair anything at all. There is Biogel which a captive can make into something that heals you 150 points. Oh and Now I have about 500 alien power cells for my two blasters because if you look careful you can find some. They look like Alien Power Modules which is the new ammo source. And you miss the Xenotech perk that gives you a nice 20 percent damage boost with all alien weapons. Samurai Armor gives you a plus ten to melee aand a plus ten to any melee weapons so you can kick major *** with the Samurai Sword if you have 100 melee. There's more than a few cool weapons you miss out on.

Or you can combine the Shiskabab, the Samurai Armor, and the Pyrotechinic perk to get probably the best Melee weapon ever.

Eh, I think I'll be fine without it. After buying all the DLC, I wouldn't blow 60 bucks for the Game of the year edition just for the one DLC. If a friend buys it, I'll barrow it so that I can put it on my 360, though.

Ah I just realized I got off the experts list. I guess I shouldn't of taken such a long break from Supercheats. That Epoxy is something I think everyone's been waiting to get so that they can repair one of a kind items to 100 percent.

Not a problem for me, since most of my favorite weapons and armor are easy to repair. (IE, Ranger Battle Armor, Tribal Power Armor, Lincoln's Repeater, Metal Blaster, Xauglong Assault Rifle, Terrible Shotgun, exc.)

Out of that list I only use the Xuanlong Assault Rifle because it does 121 DAM. Destabilizer destroys that though.

Well, Ranger Battle Armor is one of the strongest non-power armor armors, and it's quite easy to keep in repair. Not to mention bonus' to Luck, Action Points, and Small Guns.
Tribal Power Armor may not have the DR to back it up, but first of all, it's the coolest looking power armor, period. It gives bonus' to Strength, Luck, Action Points, and Melee weapons.
Lincoln's Repeater is probably the strongest Small Guns weapon. It's ammo is scarse, but that's not a huge problem with the ammo press. Accurate, high damage, large clip size, and it was used by Lincoln!
The Metal Blaster is one of the strongest Energy weapons outside of Mothership Zeta. The only energy weapons that can compare is the Tri-Beam Laser Rifle and the Telsa Cannon. Not ever A3-21's Plasma Rifle can match this beast.
Xuanlong Assault rifle, I'm sure you know, has one of the highest damage and clip sizes for an automatic weapon in the game.
The Terrible Shotgun may not have the range, but blunt and simple, it has damage. Nice for taking out the pesky radscorpions.

I disagree with the Metal Blaster, its range is about as far as my middle finger and it's not that great damage wise. I could pull out a pistol that does more damage than it.

Uh, no. It has a much longer range than that. I took me a while to figure out that rather than fire one massive beam, it fires nine at once. They're all just super-compressed. That, and it has a very high damage. Even greater than A3-21's Plasma Rifle.

Let's Run down their differences:

So the only thing the Rifle has an advantage in is spread, just barley, and in base damage. To me, that means the Metal Blaster is the most effective Energy Weapon except, maybe, the Gatling Laser, the Telsa Cannon, and the alien weapons.

The new Novasurge does 96 damage weighs less than Metal Blaster, uses two rounds per shot, probably has way less spread, and oh yeah it's just a pistol.

Note that the last four words in my post were "and the Alien weapons." I am very much aware that the alien weapons are the strongest energy weapons by far, but I'm talking Non-Zeta, Non-Alien.

Well I got the disc thingy from Gamestop and I couldn't be happier. The only problem is I'm on level 24 and have run out of quests to do. Broken Steel was pure awesomeness but I missed almost everything on the mobile base.

I'm going to try and go today or tomorrow. Broken Steel and Point Lookout were both supposed to be epic, so what could go wrong?

Actually the Novasurge is a Plasma pistol it's not alien at all.

But it's part of Zeta, which pretty much qualifies it as an Alien weapon. Besides, Zeta was where Bethesda went crazy with the energy weapons, so it still falls under that category.

yay i finally got zeta its storyline is quite boring but the samurai and cowboy outfit is nice and all the wepons are ok it would be gud if u cud like change the wasteland a bit with the deathray or sumthin

Yeah, fighting alongside a cowboy and an Anchorage Medic (Cowboy FTW) was fun and all, but Zeta was very extensive and was merely a level grinding experience. Good to see you're not in a rush to get it, Loony, because it's not that special. Although, I was very happy to get Novasurge and Paulson's Revolver (classic magnum with no scope attached). The alien weapons are nice, but I'm a half-empty kind of guy, and I don't want to be wasteful with the little ammo they come with.

The ending for Zeta is one sweet piece of eye-candy, though.

Where did you get the Tribal Power Armor, by the way? Like it's location?

There's a topic for that, but I suppose I can answer it.

In The Pitt, by collecting 100 Steel Ingots in the Steel Yard it will be the final reward you get.
It's visually identical to Ausher's Power Armor, but the stats are fairly different.

who cant w8 for New Vegas it is supposed to have co-op i wonder what the casino are gonna be like i bet u use chips or sumthin as the currancy
