I like Attacking From afar so I would use an Alchemist with Sagacity Skill or Phantasm Skil as a Sub. Then Equip Turbo MP if it's Sub is Sagacity or Half MP if you have Phantasm so you can use attack all alot more sice it will cost 16 MP and not 32. Also Equpi The Alchemist with the Cactus Stick. It is the Most Powerful Mace in the Game.

Also Try a Ninja with Avuyir Red & Blue along with Fighter Tech to attack from far away (again thats me i like attacking far away). Be Sure to equip Double Sword to Use Both Avuyirs Also use Counter or Bonecrusher because you will hit them twice since you have both avuyirs.

My favorite classes would probably be:
Human: Thief w/ Blue Mage abilities & Double Sword
Moogle: Thief w/ Black Mage abilities & Counter
Bangaa: Defender w/ Monk Tech & Reflex
Viera: Assassin w/ White Mage abilities & Half MP
Nu mou: Sage w/ Alchemist abilities & Reflex *or* Beastmaster w/ Alchemist abilities and Reflex

Those are some decent combinations except that there is one tiny flaw. A Ninja cannot equip blades like the Avuyirs, only Katanas. Therefore make that unit a Fighter with Ninja Skill as its second ability and then equip the Avuyirs or keep the unit as a Ninja and equip weapons like the Masemune and Masemune 100.

Well I have two favorite classes that help out with each other:

Hunter:
Hunt
Bluemagic
Auto-Regen
Learning
Blue Combo

Beastmaster:
Control
White Magic
Damage > MP
Half MP
Morph Combo

These two are good together because Hunter captures monsters and uses monster tech! Learning because of the Beastmaster. If i control a monster then attack my hunter and my hunter has learning on, then i now have another blue magic ability to use for my Hunter! Auto- Regen is there because i need HP! And the others i have for obvious reasons! Those are my two complimentary jobs.

I know that I said a favorite earlier but I did some expiramenting and found thses combinations

Strikeback pwns Bonecrusher anyday... they cant hit you with normal attacks when you have Strikeback equipped.

Those are always good choices.

my favorite is a Hunter/Archer with Fighter Tech, so you can use backshift or whatever that is far away, good against Totomas too

Or Beatdown, which I find is better than Backdraft.

my favorite job is blue mage, especially when it has magic hammer and matra magic, magic hammer to get MP to 0 and matra magic to finish him off (reverse MP and HP)
a nice thing to is have marche equip mirror mail (reflects magic) and having "Damage > MP" and equiping an angel ring (nullifies zombie/dark/silence/frog/poison/slow/immobilize/doom and have an auto-raise) and fairy boots (teleports to move). this makes marche almoste invincible. and having him equipped with excalibur2 and nagrarok (with double sword) makes him a good attacker and defender :p (i hope this helpes u alot)

Magic Hammer and Matra Magic...nice combo. Never thought of that. It should help. Thanks.

Mines a ninja with chivalry, counter, and double sword. Earth veil and holy blade make a good combo on almost any enemy.
My second is an archer with chivalry, counter, and concentrate.

My favorite has to be a Paladin with Double sword, Bangaa helm, Peytral, two excalibur 2's. With Blue magic sub. Cuz, I learned almost all of it!

My favorite job is a ninja.

my fav is ninja with double sword, but im trying to get my other guy who is a fighter to learn double hand, but i donno which sword it is u need 2 learn it!

It's venus blade I believe.

but may fave a assasin/summoner as my assasin has gotg all the moving powerups and teleport boots

im gonna try getting all my main characters having all the abillities, then i can experement alot, wish me luck
