Bahamut is also in Final Fantasy VI and possibly before, if memory serves me correct. I've always found him most useful in Final Fantasy VIII since he has the Fobidden Magic refinement.

I know its not really a summon but what about Safer Sephiroths nova attack that looks like a summon?

It is a summon,but it's only sephiroth.I think that maybe you can get it by using gameshark codes.

my favourite is bahamut i think NOTR made the game too easy as they do loads of damage.i also think neo bahamut is cool.

My favourite is Griever from ff8. I found a way that you can use it with squall only though. it looks so cool cause squall sort of combines with it and squall looks like a devil/angel thing it rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite is Neo Bahamut from FF7 because he does alot of damage and he looks awesome.

I totally agree with chaoslord for 2 reasons
1. Griever is only in FF8
2. It looks so awsome that I can`t think of anything else when I see him

I think Efreet and Shiva is the best.
both of them have a cool elemental attack!!!
Bahamut is great too, but, he has no elemental attack!!!

Ifrit and Shiva are the first real orginal summons in all the FF games. Altho they were not in FF5 when Square came up with the idea of adding summons Ifrit and Shiva were the only summons to be included in all the other FF games along with Bahamut makeing them the first real summons
