I cant say i like Cait Sith either but you should give him some credit. I really dont like Yuffie. Shes the only character that ends up being pain in the as* during optional gameplay.

When she has her ultimate weapon she will not be denied!

I used all characters though, Im one of those that level every single character up.

Haha, I'm too impatient for that. I train up three characters and three characters only. On Disk 3, it's kill the Ultimate Weapon, stir up trouble in the Ancient Forest, grab the ultimate weapons and limit breaks for the three characters I'm using, and then it's off to the Northern Cave.

That's as far as I got, the Northern Cave, still dont know why I didnt just finish it.

I agree with her. Every character needs to be completely leveled up. I usually level up a bunch during the games progression. That way on disk three its not such an enduring process. I always level up in the top of Junon on disk three. If you do not do this i cant imagine you ever had the master materias. My sister is very knoledgeable about this game and she never finished it either. Says it would ruin it for her.

Yep, got all the Master Materias. Rather than bore myself to death training everyone and everything up to do so, I just killed the Emerald Weapon and gave the Earth Harp to that dude at Kalm.

Just for people who reads and dont know, your other characters will level up even if they are not in your party. until level 75 or so if i remember correctly.

Yeah, but they do so very slowly.

But still, you only need to use three characters to get through the game (after you have them all). Most instances where you have to take particular character with you (besides Cloud) aren't really that difficult.

Any rpg game requires alot of pateince. I have pleyed through the game hardly leveling up just to give myself more of a challenge. The final leveling up proccess ended up being too enduring but did manage to beat the game not having the ruby or emerald destroyed. I would like to add that i was thinking of acheiving the master materias at cosmo canyon by mastering.

FFVII doesn't. I pretty much plough through the game without stopping to train. It's still easily beatable. Having to train your team up too much was why I gave up on FFIV, though.

Sephiroth is made easier by the fact that I grab all the items in the Northern Cave, though. Plenty of Exp-gifting enemies encountered during the process.

As for Emerald and Ruby, I never bother any more. Got to a point where I could solo both of them just using Cloud and haven't fought them since.

I remember getting owned by something a few times but it was one of the extra bosses. Don't remember who but no I still havent gotten around to beating it. I like to beat everything and finish it 100%. I got impatient with FFXII and 160hours later thought eff it Im going to beat Vayne. Dragon Quest may be the same, there is no way Im maxing their weapons on the 1st playthrough just to complete a few side quests!

Yeah, I went through a playthrough where I beat the game 100% (might have missed one or two items in the Great Glacier, but I really don't have the patience for that place), but now that I've done that, I don't feel the need any more.

I supose if you try and 100% a game it takes away the need to play it again.

Nah, I like going through the story again. It just takes away the need to beat it 100% again.

The only game I have completed and not felt the need to play again was FFIII.

Made me want to hurt people that game. >_<
