I always like to balance out my team and make different combos with my characters. My favorate combo is having Cid and Vincent. When all your levels are high enough it doesnt really matter who you use. My levels are usually really high throughout the whole game so i have fun with it. During the first disk i always have Aeris in my party so i can have her strong enough for her final limit break.

^Ah, the Cloud/Cid/Vincent trio, my old favourite team.
I prefer Barret to Vincent, though. But you're right, it doesn't really matter who you use. Even Cait Sith is good enough to use through the whole game.

Most people would expect me to say Cloud as I drool over high spec Cloud but I think Barrat is my fave character in the game.

From beginning to end Barret seems to be the idiot of the team. He does make a cool charater though. I think FF7 had the best characters of all.

Thats how I felt about Wakka in FFX to be honest.
It's probably one of the few where I didn't want to slap the leading character.
