I can't find a car that goes faster than 250 mph... I have an Audi race car, bought it for 4,500,000 credits (took me a damn long time to get that much money).

Congrats darkboarder, you have one of the fastest cars in the game with NOS!
I clocked 311mph/500kph on the Max speed test on test course.
Although you could have won it in the Sarthe 24hr 1.
If you want settings, here they are:
Stage 4 turbine kit
NOS: Maximum setting
Trans:
1. 3.039
2. 1.969
3. 1.402
4. 1.052
5. 0.832
6. 0.636
Final Drive: 3.202
Auto Setting: 25.
Note: Set that auto Setting first, then final drive, then widen gears 1-6 to the max. If this doesn't work, swap final drive and auto setting.

My fastest speed was 520 KM/H. I did it with the Mazda 787B Car.

I reckon that one of the best cars in Gran Turismo 4 is the Gran Turismo Formula One car you get for Winning Nurburing 24 hour race.

Put these in MPH instead of KM/H.

I don't know, cause i don't understand KM/H and please don't CAPS your sentences it's a sign of flame.

i used a tvr 12 speed fully suped with nos 280mph i fiddled around with the gears a bit.

Sounds good, i havent played in a while.

Using the Chapparal 2D I somehow managed about 272mph. I can't believe that car is only a 3-speed. All I did was max out the gear ratios. The acceleration from a dead stop was pretty terrible (like 5 seconds to reach 10mph), but then it just took off and almost reached the top speed before the first turn on the test track.

I didn't use NOS.

i would believe that top speed if it was in kph...my top speed is 361 mph in the minolta with nos.
