"Burning Desire" Glitch

I searched for a topic about this and found nothing so here goes.

I did the "Burning Desire" mission where you have to set a house on fire, and then you have to rescue your future girlfriend. I burned the house, saved the girl, and took her home in a lowrider I stole. When I got to her house, I drove into the red circle thing and it went to a cutscene. She gets out of the car and runs away. Then, I'm stuck in the darn cutscene. I just sit there, and it never ends.

I restarted my PS2 and redid it, and the same thing happened.

Anyone know what I can do? I have the older San Andreas, one of the first ones, if it helps.

do not know. you might need to get a new game.

It means you've used too many cheats. I recommend you try repeaditly without using cheats at all through the mission.

So you're saying he used to many cheats IN that mission?

Yes and no, but the point is I reckon he should try the mission without cheats at all.

I have played this game with the use of a few thousand cheats each game and never had any problems at all, not once.

And it's one of the first releases (uncensored)

I don't know. I've heard of this happening beofre on rare occasions. Besides, they made a game with over a hundred cheats, what did the developers think? They should've checked the game over with cheats and all. Whatever.

I think it might have something to do with it being an older version. I'm going to try and beat it using my friend's disc. He has the newest version. Will my data still work if he has the newer version?

It should work, but my friend tried copying data from my memory card, and it didn't work on his game.

Darns, I'm screwed. I'll try not doing as many cheats, but I dont know. I think what messed it up is the fact that I had the cheat on so nothing hurts you, and I think it worked on the girl. Cause her life bar disappeared so she should've been dead, but she wasn't. So i think thats it.

Oh yeah, absolutely right, you HAVE to shoot her in that mission. If it doesn't work, do it infinite times, it'll work out. ;)

Well, I tried turning the cheats off, but they won't turn off. Also, I tried shooting her. That didn't work either. Well, I don't know.

I might just have to call Rockstar and cus at them or something. I don't know. I'm gonna keep trying, so I'll keep ya posted or watev.

if your just on burning desire start over your game your not to terribly far you can get back to that mission in 1 day so restart it

Wait, do you have the riot cheat saved on? If you do it causes problems with some missions.

ya it does my friend used riot cheat to beat a mission in san fierro & ended up having to start over because he couldnt save madd dogg

So has this guy made any progress?

it maybe because its scratched or it was the cheats the very first time i got it i used cheats and beat the game and it was messed up so your gambling when you use cheats

You can't use more than 100 cheats prior to Burning Desire, more than 200 cheats prior to Photo Opportunity, or more than 500 cheats prior to Madd Dogg. And you can't ever under any circumstances use any pedestrian or traffic cheats prior to Madd Dogg. Other than that you shouldn't have a problem.
