The best thing to do is go to training on the game.It has a whole tutorial on all the functions for the slider. You get there by going to campaign or quickplay then once you click that click on training and there will be a few tutorials for the guitar.Click on new stuff or something like that and it will show you the functions.

Slider could be broken. Try maybe using a friends guitar on your console and disc, and see if that works.

i didnt realize that there were slightly lighter colors of frets that come down that are for use with the slider.
Thanks for your help Dyoung15, Thanks for trying to help The Ultimate Cheater

Yeah, when those slighty see through note start appearing, you can use the slider. You don't have to strum when using the slide either, hence, 'slide'r :P

You can use the normal fret buttons for slide sections too

yeah, i preferr using the original frets. it appears to be a lott easier.
the slider is just something you have to get used to. sometimes my fingers get mixed up or thrown off. when i have to hit green and i place my fingers on a completely different color. lol
but the slide technique is becoming a lot easier :]]

I still use the old X-Plorer Guitar XD

It seems to be the best of the guitars, and I have the GH3 guitar, but I still use the wired X-Plorer. It just seems easier to use those frets for everything, including solo notes rather than mess around with switching between the slider bar and the frets.

Glad it's working out for you.

Yeah thats one thing I hate, when they throw in a small slider section outta nowhere, and ya try to use to the slide, but mess up and miss a load of notes
