This best combination too kill elites with is the battle rifle and plasma pistol... Charge up the plasma pistol and fire it at an elite( this will take out his sheilds) Then shoot him in the head with the BR and he'll die. some times it makes them do backflips

My favorate weapon is the Carbine. It's pretty good in no-sheild fights were a headshot can instantly kill you. I guess my secondary weapon that i like the most is the Battle Rifle. It also packs a punch in no-sheild battles.
Plasma Pistol + Battle Rifle or Carbine = n00by, ( since it can get an instant kill with oversheilds )
As a matter of fact, its called the n00b combo in XB Live. Can't wait until I get live...
