My fav weapons have to be the shotgun and the BR. Nobody can beat me with that combo. Unless they are better than me......

Gotta be the sniper and plasma rifle. I rock with that combo. You know it is odd, everyone seems to underestimate the plasma rifle, it is a really good gun. And well, the sniper speaks for itself.

well if ur going to have plasma rifle then have a smg to because it will kill the person when there shilds ar down

Carbine, definatly the carbine. has a high fire rate, does good damage, higher number of shots then the battle rifle, but not as common on maps :(.
As for energy sword or shotgun, definatly the shotgun. if u have the sword and come up against someone half decent with a shotgun your toast, no matter what. lunge=they shoot u in the face. run away = they shoot you anyway. and anyway, even if u dont kill someone with your first shot of the shotgun, a quick melee usualy finishes the job!

ummm my best combo is the Energy Sword and The Sniper Rifle on multiplayer, and my favorite weapon, this is a hard question, if they had the Assault Rifle in Halo 2 that would be it, the SMG just plain sucks compared to Halo: Combat Evolved's Assault Rifle. I'm glad they brought it back in Halo 3. My favorite Grenade item, the Bubble Shield hands down, protects you and you can run in and out of it. :P Also sqwirt, with an energy sword just jump over their head and slash them in the face. 1 Hit Kill.

Not really carbine and the BR are pertty much the same when it comes to no grenades and just Carbine vs BR.
For gods sake I can kill rockets with a pistol >.<.
Carbine shoots 1 bullet at a time but it has much more speed and if the person knows how to strafe it'll be harder for the BR.
BR the person could double shot and BXR hell lot easier and if they know how to take adventage of the terrian its still evenly matched.

magnug is powerfull you kan shoot thru a elite shield in 4 shots for a smg its like half of your clip and then another half to kill it
