What is up with that turtle by the pond?

If anyone knows if you can get it as a pet,please tell me.^-^

You can't get the turtle as a pet. It's just a wild animal, hanging around. There's also a racoon that's near Vestas farm, it usually hangs around there near that road that goes into Mining Town or whatever.
The only pets you can get are of coarse, your farm animals(cows, sheep, goats, bulls, a horse, chickens, ducks..). And your dog. I think you can get a cat too, but, I'm not sure. I remember getting a cat on the girl version but I'm not far enough on the boy version for that yet.
Well, anyways. Oh, and theres a lizard that crawls around up by the waterfall, (it's on the side by the pond...thing...near the harvest sprites tree). Again, you can't do anything with this.

Yeah I know you can get a cat I have it....And you can get a lizard and maybe the raccoon I`m not sure.But I know how to get the lizard

it is possible to get the turtle and the lizard and the cat on the boy version, the turtle is a rare one, you wake up and your kid will fall in the swamp and the turtle rescues him, but rare. the lizard, you befriend mukumuku, who lives near the spring in winter, give him fishies! any kind will do, but only fish!! nothing else. it may take a few winters. the cat, romana gives it to you in your... second year, i think, you go outside one day and she says she found a stray black cat, and you get to keep it.

ps, to get the raccoon, befriend vesta and what's-his-face, the grumpy one, marlin or summat

it appears that i left one pet out in my above list. have you guessed what it is?? it's carter's pet, the dog at the digsite, yes, it's the CHIHUAHUA!!!!

this one is so flamin' complicated and hard-to-get, i only bothered once to get it.

to get this useless yippety peice of garbage, all you gotta do is dig up all of the stone tablets. you can only get one a year.

to sum up, it's not flippin worth all the time and effort. (in my opinion)

No accually you can get the turtle. I befriend the science dude(I dont remember the name because I dont play it like anymore because its my sisters) and in like the third chapter I got the turtle.
