Stuck in Episode 3 chapter chancellor in peril

I'm stuck in the section where it's Obi-Wan, Anakin, Palpatine and R2-D2 after you run from the falling elevator. You jump over to a ledge where you have to Force some steam vents off you get studs. Then you switch to R2 and turn off one using the console. But there is a large beam I guess that the jedis can jump over but R2 can't. How do you get R2 to follow the other characters? I've tried flying over it but that doesn't work. I switched to one of the others, jumped over and waited by the door for R2 to make his way over by himself like he usually does. And you need R2 to open the door so.....any ideas?

Seems like you reached a brick wall,I'll help when I know how I can do that. I tried to put in a "brick wall" smiley, but it didn't work :(

Use a light saber on the yellow circles near the bridge (left hand side) and a ramp will fall down allowing Artoo to cross.

so when you use your jedi to jumpp over, look at the bridge and follow it it to where it begins with your eyes, you should see something square that looks like a cage, use your lightsaber and hit the square cage in order for it to fall down, now switch to r2 and from the side he is stuck on, you follow your side of the bride up to the opening and that takes you to the jedi charachters, hope that makes sense... good luck on the rest of the level!

i remember you have to use the force or something to get a ramp up there. just force everything and smash everything in sight
