I like to use any lightweight with the egg 1. It is the best for snaking.

Yoshi and egg 1 are also good, if you haven't unlocked all karts for everyone (beat lightning cup 150 cc. mirror mode)

The only difference it makes who drives your kart is the weight stat. If you have higher weight, you will be able to bump people around more. (Bowser can bump around yoshi because his weight is higher.) But, if you go off road with a heavier person, you will lose more speed. (If yoshi and bowser went off road, yoshi would lose less speed.) Of course, you wouldn't lose speed if you used a mushroom. I personally like to use lightweights, but the choice is up to you. If you don't know where to start, try a middleweight (Mario, luigi) and go from there.

well i was playing around with character combinations and i realized that i like yoshi with the egg 1 better than my old combination of toad with the shooting star

i agree with jozurn with yoshi and egg 1. of all the 8 days i've had this game i've almost never lost with that combo...

Yeah i finished it once, (the one where you can't unlock a diff path to follow), i even like it better than this game. What we should do is schedule a start time and see who can finish it fastest with the most kills. I'll post it in the starfox forums.
