Yeah, I've done that before. How I did it was when i was in an area with dash panels. Then a blue shell came. At the last second, i went on a dash panel and i somehow outran it!

Yeah, I know you can dodge them, but you have to like use a boost right when it's behind your, you need to get your timing perfect. I think i've done it once, but it's hard.

It doesn't affect me alot, but it's hella annoying, there's no point to it, you can still see when it hits you. -_-

Yeah, the Blooper is a pretty bad item. Only the computers have trouble when they get sprayed.

Hmm lets see, the lightning cloud is well... it just sucks. As for the course i think that rainbow road is still one of my worsts.

I hate the lightning cloud too. But I really despise DS Peach Gardens, even though its probably one of my best courses.

Lightning cloud is one of the worst items on the game, imo.

I hate the POW block. You can't avoid it (unless you're in the air/invincible). It's easy to recover from it, but damn annoying. Just like Blooper.

If the POW block shows up on your screen, do a trick. Yes, you won't actually do a trick, but as soon as the POW block hits, you will drop your items, but you won't slow down. This works easier if you are using a Wii Wheel or the Wii remote and Nunchuck.
