I am pretty sure to get the credits you connect to Wi-fi, or go to the page where you can buy things.

That's because you can only receive the credits if you have the same type of game (PAL, JPN, NTSC)

I think HYPA lives in Australia.

I do live in Aus, dam that means i can only give vouchers to Ermac. Why wouldn't the games be cross compatible?
