try nyan on creative and fly around and then survival

On a seed 0.4.0 did straight down and you will find 1st iron 6 pieces, 2nd you will fing gold there will be 2 but mine it then dig on both sides one of them will have 2 more pieces of gold I forget wich side I a m pretty sure it is the right, 3rd you will find 6 pieces of diamond last keep digging and you will find sime coal I forgot how many pieces there are hope this helps you all!!!!!!!
