Get to the 4* quests and "buy" the mining upgrade from the Jamacian guy. You can get union ore there.

thanks for the help. I have another question. how can I kill or at least defend the fortress from the ASH LAO SHAN LUNG? What weapon should I take?

I have'nt done that quest nor fought any Lao Shan yet, but my friends have told me to definitely bring a bowgun.

Use Dual Blade With Fire Attribute Like Gradios Ultimus And Bring 5 Mega Juices And 2 Large Barrel Bomb+ And 1 Small Barrel Bomb+ And Get Armor With The Sharp Sword Ability Like Full Garuga And Just Keep Attacking Its Head With Demonization But U Have To Sharpen your Swords Alot
