Celebi is just rare. Just like Mew, except without the ability to learn all the TM/HMs. Both are so overrated.

mv you said you have an AR, im just wondering if you would like to know the cheats i use, because i found cheats that would work with eachother, meaning shiny, lvl 98, and a pokemon of my choice. most codes cant work together like that. if you want to know them just ask me, ill be happy to tell

(p.s. when I want a lvl 100 I use the lvl 98 code because i like to catch the basic pokemon and evelve it using rare candys, i heard that the longer you dont evolve a pokemon, the stronger it gets, if that is not true, i do it anyways, its just a habit, and it helps my pokedex)

no its not. the only way to "speed it up" or "get a better chance" is to use a cheat device

ok wtf u guys are all talking about findin shinys witout cheats so do i got bad luck or sometin cause i got pokemon sapphire with 90hours and diamond with 157hours never found a shiny without a cheat or a trade

im was battling in battle tower last night and without cheats i saw a shiny vigoroth. too bad it was in thwe battyle tower though. i was really suprised
(one time in saffire in the BT someone had a Latios)

You don't got bad luck, you just haven't been playing for a very long time. I've been playing Ruby for over 300 hours, Firered I had 3 different files and never found one, Emerald I have about 100 some hours playin' and I never found one. The only sinhies I ever found were in gold (hoothoot that I couldn't catch) and Firered (traininer tower). So don't feel too unlucky. Some people NEVER see them.

I have like 70 hours (more like 65) and i found a shiny without cheats (look at my post above)

i have an action replay and a code that makes all pokemon in the wild shiny! i love it ill post it later if anyone wants it

I played Sapphire for like 5 hours and found two shinies xD

That file was just lucky, though. A Taillow and a Magikarp (now a Gyarados).
