scizor or steelix

I prefer Steelix, he can learn lots of better moves than Scizor like Flamethrower, Earthquake, Iron Tail, and others.

steelix is only great for defense, his attack stats are poor, scizzor on the other hand has goo attacking stats making him a sweeper. i used scizor one's and he was alright, if you want wall and attacker you migh wanna use tyranitar of aggron.

He's not really a sweeper 'cause his speed is gay, an' his attack is good, but better with a SD or 2.

well your the expert about sizzors so i won't complain.

EDIT: Mario_4_Life, why would you use Flamethrower on Steelix? Yeah, you might as well give him Ember, Bubble and Vine Whip with that.

Well if yur party does not hold a BPer, or for in-game you feel the unneed for one, then he's nice an' sloth-like. Bad thing 'bout that is most Fire types are quicker. Flareon might be the only one he can beat speed wise. >.<

Other than that lil mess up, he's a decent Poke.

Well, I'm sure if he wanted them bad enough he could whip out cheats. xP

He does. But that's my point, he can't beat Jolty, he might be able to beat Flare though. 'Cause Flare is the slowest of the Fire tpyes I believe.

yeah, Flare sucks of all the Eevee evolutions, well he could be improved at Diamond/Pearl

Flareon isn't the slowest of Fire-types. It's either Torkoal or Magcargo.

Bring me stats boy! ^.^ Not that I don't believe you, but Flareon is quite slow. It's sad. He has great attack, but poor speed an' other stats.

Torakoal is the slowest Fire type, and the slowest pokémon ever bar Shuckle, who's absolutely crap.

Flareon is the worst Eevee evolution, but he isn't a bad pokémon. He's just underrated. He's good in UU.

Back on topic, Scizor is the best if oyu want an Offensive Pokemon, and Steelix if you want a Defensive.

Yay... linkage... I'll trust ND on it.

Since I go for offense, Scizor. ^^ I've never been good at defensive strategies 'cept for Mirror Coat Sui. It depends on how you work best with your style an' the rest of your team I suppose.

I've been using scizor and steelix quite heavily now and noticed a few things...
Btw this is my moveset :
Scizor:
Slash
Aerial Ace
Swords dance
Toxic
Steelix:
Earthquake
Iron tail
Toxic
Iron defense

Scizor, especially with an adamant nature and if u actually ev train him for attack... He can practically one hit anyone... My scizor is lvl 80 and with swords dance and slash I could get through the entire elite four just using one scizor. However steelix, his base defense is OUed... But for a huge metal snake... His attack just isn't there... Plus, Scizor has 9 resistances and a immunity which is damn OP. So I would personally recommend scizor over steelix.

Definitely Scizor , its design is unique and I have always dreamed of owning one so, yeah, screw Steelix
