What I want to know is this: What do you believe the hardest gym was out of all the games in the Pokemon series? Me? I think it was the electric gym in the first game.... Damn trashcans could never let me find the switch in the first hour....

I know little about Pokemon so I'm just using this possibly screwed up math.

Flamethrower = 120 Damage

Against Water/Dragon = 60 Damage

Typlosion being full fire type = Back up to 120 Damage

Whitney has and always will be the biggest jerk in a Pokemon game.

Miltank used Attract!
Quilava is immobilised by love!
Miltank used Rollout!
Its Super Effective!
Quilava used Ember! *Not much damage is done*
Miltank used Rollout!
Its Super Effective!
Quilava is immobilised by love!
Miltank used Rollout!
Its Super Effective!
Quilava fainted!

Flamethrower = 120 Damage

Actually, it goes like this:
Base Power = 95
Water's resistance means X 0.5
Dragon's resistance means X 0.5
STAB means X 1.5
95*0.5*0.5*1.5=47.5 Base Power
Basically, you're equivalent to using a neutral non-STAB attack with 47.5 Base Power. You'd be better off using Cut.

If you meant Fire Blast, it would be 120*0.5*0.5*1.5=60, so Headbutt would be a better choice, especially considering accuracy.

Also, Whitney isn't that hard if you can bear the Voltorb Flip game to get Dratini with Dragon Rage.

But you can't remove cut from the learned moves list without someone's help, and my Typhlosion was effed up. Nearly all it's power went to Special Attack and nearly none to regular Attack.

Whitney is hell. That damn Miltank is just awful. Other than that, probably some of the Hoenn Gyms.

Whitney is easy if you trade a Drowzee for a Machop with the guy in Goldenrod Dept. Store. Don't know if you can do that in the remakes though, as I haven't got that far yet.

I always thought the Psychics Twins (Tate and Lisa, I think) in Hoenn (the 7th Gym) were tricky unless you were well prepared for what they had.

Whitney I didn't have much trouble with after my first playthrough in Silver, and I didn't use Dratini or Machop.

Clair has always been the biggest pain for me. Gyms in later games were never as much of a problem. Blue in SS gave me some trouble but really only because I was trying to solo it with a just-evolved Tyranitar (I might've used someone else for Machamp though).

Whitney Miltank is hell indeed it managed to take out twice my Machop(or machoke i don't recall)Once by using the most g** move ever comboed with the stomp that managed to take more than half of my HP in only 1 hit on crystal.

90 of people use rare candies and or AR codes to make their pokemon battle ready if you are the 10 who level up their pokemon legally put this in your siq.

Clair was pretty easy. Gyarados got OHKO'd by my level 34 Ampharos's Discharge. My level 36 Gengar destroyed everything else with repeated Sludge Bombs, although Ampharos played a part in Kingdra's death by Thunder Waving it and finishing it off (Gengar got killed twice by crit hax). Only those two pokémon were left alive after the fight though, as I used the others as cannon fodder to heal Gengar and Ampharos.

I don't see how people think she's so difficult. I thought Pryce was a bigger pain in the neck. His damn Dewgong kept using Rest every other turn and my pokémon were rather low-leveled as at the time I made the mistake of training six.
