Apparently someone has finally done it, which uses Niantic's API. It shows where pokemon are, and how long they will be there for.
Kind of takes the fun out of the game, but if you're desperate or want to catch up to some of your friends... try it out.

I could do with that, find it super frustrating sometimes that I go looking and nothing!!!

I also have seen many twitch users use GPS spoofs to capitalize on location finders etc...

It's fun to use - But what I would like is some kind of alert that a Pokemon that I needed was somewhere close - Or for Niantic to improve the thing in the game that says when a Pokemon is nearby.
I think Pokevision was struggling yesterday to stay online with the influx of people using their website. Possibly they also had some ddos attacks to deal with as I noted they used cloudflare to check my browser before I used the site yesterday.

Couldn't agree more. For example the other day I had a Pokemon say three steps (footprints), I drove a mile north/south/west/east and the indicator never left three. Something is wrong here. In my personal opinion I feel the system needs to be more lenient the (10 ft circle or whatever the exact distance around your character ) is a tad small for how the current system works. Or the footprint indicator needs to be more accurate.

I was trying to dissect this, I was thinking "3 steps" is located generally 3 of those circle radar that goes around your character.
I don't like the general idea of that "nearby" system they use though. Needs rebuilt and more direct.

They disappear too. They're not constantly around. I had one that was apparently nearby and never found him. Stupid pokemon hiding underground or something.

Yeah I believe they're on 15-30min timers which makes it very annoying.

Yeah some are longer but they dont all just sit all day there waiting for you to find them.
I found that different ones come out at night too.

Too bad Poke Vision is gone now. Hopefully the new tracking Niantic is developing is good.
