Starter is following you?

I have no idea if you can evolve the starter or not.
You couldn't evolve Pikachu in Yellow.
Then again, in Platinum, you can take strolls in Amity Square with Piplup and Empoleon alike (along with the other Sinnoh starters).
I doubt they'd cancel your starter's evolution, unless it was part of some strange plot twist. :/

Yeah, I'd say they'll let it evolve. I don't see why not, the can easily create overworld sprites for the two evolved forms of them. They did in Platinum.

Exactly. It'd be stupid for Nintendo not to let the Pokemon evolve, come to think of it. It's one thing with Pikachu, but it's a whole other for starters like Totodile. It'd make later Gym battles much harder.

Hell, it made the first Gym battle in Yellow Version hard. I remember having to resort to making a Butterfree use Confusion.

It would be cool if you could let legendarys out of the Pokeball, considering that most legendarys are huge. And that might destroy the whole scene. Lol

Oh yeah, I forgot about their sizes. Hey, and that makes me wonder--if you let a Snorlax out, would it fall asleep on you while you're walking?

That was because it was a rock-gym, and Pikachu is an electric type. It didn't really have anything to do with evolution.

Back on topic... I'm beginning to think that it'll probably be only your starter in it's first form, and perhaps the notch-eared Pichu that follow you.

yeah but whats the use in that??? You walk around w/ t and end up evolbing it then nothing??? At least in Platinum and P and D you could go whenever you wanted though I found it very Discriminating to not allow any pokes that people actually like later in the game.

I'm pretty sure they'll follow you when they evolve, otherwise it's pretty stupid for them just to follow you in their first form. :/

It definitely think they'll let the second & final forms follow you, & maybe even let certain Pokemon other than starters follow if they're in the first team spot. But I just thought; what happens to the bike? Would you put your starter in it's Ball to ride the bike? I hope they don't take the bike out of the games.

Ryuujin, Dissociative wasn't flamin' at all. I dunno what might've gone on in some other thread but don't bring it here. Now, if you have a problem with him, bring it up where it belongs, but imo you're the one who has shown your **** to everybody here, I haven't seen Dissociative do anything wrong. Post Deleted

And I guess you guys are right about the evolutions following. But I don't think any Pokemon other than your starter will follow you. In Yellow it was only Pikachu.
