Pinsir is uncoomon, they're not incredibly rare, but don't appear like nidoran. I encounter a few but can never actually catch them.

Well yeah but if your a good trainer then you raise the pinsir easyly like mine is lv 45 i rasied him from a lv 2.

I still use him and heracross but still well fine you can catch one or buy one then.
