I quickly realized what it did! My first time in Stormy Sea, I only took my Pikachu which was me; equipped with x-Ray Specks . I was at level 39 then, and I recruited a shellder, anorith, and spheal. I had 5 reviver seeds, because I planned on using them for Kyogre. So every time a Starmie blinked, I saw enemies show up everywhere! I had to make it all the way to the 40th floor, without losing my recruits! I had Shockwave and Thunderbolt moves linked, and a Quick-attack +1 as my set move, and an Agility. But when I got level 40, I learned Thunder, and got rid of Agility. So I couldn't get away from all the enemies, I used up my Quick-attack and all the Silver Spikes I took into the dungeon. I had to use some of my electric moves to keep moving, so I was glad I had picked up a max elixer earlier. Using my regular attack on Starmie took 4 hits to knock them out, plus my recruits were not really helpful in getting rid of them. Oh, and I search and collect all useful items on every floor, so I always looked at all the items before taking the stairs. That made it much more difficult. Finally when I reached the 39th floor I used the max elixir and went after Kyogre. I only had 2 reviver seeds now. I figured that Kyogre would take them out easily, so I did something I never thought I would do. I walked right up to him, leaving my teammates behind me. It was a good thing too! Kyogre kept using Ancient Power, increasing his stats, like Special Defense. I liked that Kyogre's ability made it rain, because it boosted my Thunder's accuracy, making it do massive damage. It did less when Kyogre's stats raised, but I was the only one doing any real damage. Turns out, I was too high level for Kyogre to deal damage. Every time he hit me, I only took 1 HP damage. Phew! I was so glad that worked out. Next I'll be getting Kyogre for a recruit! And great tip on using Pokemon like Staryu and Starmie for increasing chances of finding rare Pokemon! I'll definitely be doing that to help get Mew. Basic lesson in my tale of woe; knowledge is power. Know your enemies before you face them, plan your strategies accordingly, and always come prepared. Whether that's by having lot of certain items, or by being a certain level before you go, be more than ready to face anything.
