What are some good starter pokemon names you can choose?

I made my starter pokemon Pikachu has the name Kirby(as in the kirby from dreamland) but I couldn't find a good name for my partner torchic(his name is Torchic). I also named the magnemite that joined my team "Metaknight"(yeah I know!)!

Okay, I started a new game a little while ago and I still have kirby as me(Pikachu) and my partner is Tuff (cyndaquil). I meant the Tuff from "kirby right back at ya!" Tiff's younger brother. Still magnetmite is named Metaknight. Also what I meant by names is nicknames for my characters.

My leader was Pikachu, and I named him Sparky. My partner is Charmander, which I named Blaze. Is this too simple of a name? Also, I don't give nicknames to recruited Pokemon. I'm not sure if there is a way to change their names if you don't like them, or what if after you name them and you evolve them and you don't like the name you gave them now? So I keep their regular names.
