Ok, so I don't have HeatGold, but I do have Pearl. I can get my pokemon from R/S/E/FR/LG onto my Pearl, right? How is that done? Also, can I trade with people on HG/SS from my Pearl? How do you do that? Just add their friend code and trade like normal?

Yes you can migrate pokemon from GBA, trade with people on HeartGold and SoulSilver and its done just like you would in Pokemon Pearl.

To migrate Pokemon you need to have your GBA cartridge in and it will have and option and you catach in pal park.
