i caught heatran today and it has a gender!?!?!?
P.S: Mine is female

Yes although it is a legendary Heatran is meant to be a pokemon with a gender with a 50% chance of being male or female.Hope that helped.

For most or all of the pokemon info you want to check out, you should check serebii.net because it has everything about pokemon diamond/pearl that I know about.

Heatran is the only legendary to date that can be either male or female, the only other legends with genders are Latios and Latias, but they can only be male for Latios and female for Latias

so does that mean i can breed it??

I don't think Heatran can breed, if it can then thats new news to me.

no it cant. none of the legendary pokémon can. they just wanted to give it a gender

I had a good feeling that Heatran couldn't breed, the only one I thought of that could breed was Manaphy because it can make Phione (spelling) that pokemon that looks just like it, but has one antena

Choas said it all.....when I caught my heatran it was male. Litte (s***) took me 27 of the Luxury Balls to catch it.

It was worth it though he is leveld up to 100 and waiting for transfer to my English DS game.

Hopefully I can transfer him, since you can get pokemon from any one on the GTS. The one on my English games I will try to get it in it's shiny form.

Since Im a fire type lover, I will deffinitly EV train my heatran, and might send him out in a wi-fi battle if I find him worthy. lol

I love fire,dark,ice and flying types I'm an expert on fire and dark pokemon.I love all the fire starters as well as sneasel, weavile and tyranitar.

I love all types, but mainly fire though.

Since were on the topic of heatran,is he/she a legendary pokemon that you battle? (like the way you have to battle groudon in ruby and kyogre in sapphire) or do you have to find him like the regis

You have to find Heatran like the regis, but heatran doesnt move like Latios

So will serebii give info on where s/he is? I hope they do,because if it wasn't for SC I wouldn't have even known about the regis or even deoxys!

Just click the Diamond and Pearl link under the games and the go to Legendary Pokemon gba_dude.

Serebii has always been my main place for pokemon info.

They wasn't for me at first...it was my collector's book, but now serebii as far as moves/stats/abilities.

I also looks at this other site too, they got some good information.
